Can't believe Moyes is supposedly being looked at by our Board as next manager if Sean gets the sack, really really hope this is all bullxxxx,
{Ed025's Note - that would be a nightmare scenario imo GB, out of the frying pan into the fire, i think i would sooner keep Dyche than have him mate..
04 Sep 2024 16:16:16
Would just be swapping like for like.
04 Sep 2024 16:20:10
Still think Potter would be my choice.
{Ed025's Note - yeah but would he fancy it?..
04 Sep 2024 17:46:13
Coberan from westbrom would be my choice.
{Ed025's Note - i must confess i dont know much about him dentie mate..
04 Sep 2024 19:31:57
Dunno Ed mate, but surely the chance to take a Team that is battered and bruised from years of mismanagement on and off the field and build a Team that can finally climb the Premiership ladder to the top 10,what a accolade that would be for a manager.
{Ed025's Note - i think all the runes are pointing to Moyes taking over GB, i dont know if i can carry on if that happens mate...would it be the end of the world if he took over....thats a big fat YES..

If they gave Moyes a 9 month contract/ contract until the end of the season, I’d consider it. He had us playing some decent football at times. He’s not the future but better than Dyche.
{Ed025's Note - six of one half a dozen of the other for me BR..
04 Sep 2024 20:41:58
Not for me we need new blood, blimey his season is going xxxx up already, anyone but those two.
{Ed025's Note - this mediocre board of this now mediocre club know a mediocre manager who can do a mediocre job with these mediocre players....put your money on Moyes to get the gig..
04 Sep 2024 21:35:05
Oh please no! Have we not suffered enough? I can't take much more.
04 Sep 2024 22:38:50
Is there any substance to this really or is this just the press putting two and two together to fill the back pages. If Dyche was going before the Villa game, they should have pulled the trigger already. Moyes feels like a like for like replacement. Need a fresh approach, someone who can inject a bit of energy into the role.

Graham Potter turned us down when our stocks were high, i know his are now low but not sure why his 'bounceback' job he'd take Everton on with no owner, no board and no financial power to spend
also he wouldn't survive, not strong enough personality wise and Goodison would moan at the football as it always does with possession based coaches, who just get screamed at to 'lump it forward' really quite ironic that same fans are asking why Dyche isn't playing it round the back to me.

Whilst we'd all live a forward thinking successful manager playing winning dynamic football, I really don't get the complete anti Moyes. He produced vastly better teams that what have or for the past however many years. He has also recently won a euro competition with West Ham. Does he play expansive football, no but better than current? Yes.

All about opinions. People forget what Moyes did for our club. Many top 10 finishes with very limited budget. Some fantastic signings. Miles ahead of Dyche. Wasn't all roses, I admit, but a lot better than the dross now. Just my opinion.

Can’t genuinely believe the links to Moyes are true.
The only person who would have pushed for him to come back is dead and can’t imagine anyone left at the club would be pushing for it.
Whilst these 3 results have been poor, there were some signs of improvement in the last game as well as in the cup game.
If the choice is keep dyche or replace with Moyes then keep Dyche for me.
{Ed025's Note - im with you Dan, but all the vibes are saying its going to be Moyes mate, he was actually promised the job before we got Carlo at the last minute and he was not a happy bunny..
05 Sep 2024 15:07:26
Man U did not employ him to succeed Sir Alex because everyone thought he was a terrible manager. At the very least we were always combative and passionate. The players, largely, respected and responded to Moyes. Not sure that's true of Dyche.
{Ed025's Note - im not Dyche,s biggest fan at all JB but i would sooner carry on with him than have Golum back mate, that last game gave me hope until the last few minutes and yes he balls it up big time with his game management especially with the substitutions but for me it would be a backward step to employ Moyes, and i dont think the majority of the fans would accept him after the cloud he left under as well as the dour football we were playing, try someone new by all means but lets not get visited by the ghost of Christmas past i say..

I'm done then. A jigsaw could not be more complicated then we are. Might buy a pensioners standing ticket at Cheltenham Town lol.
05 Sep 2024 16:05:45
If I'm right and correct me if wrong. Moyes had 8 top 10 finishes with Everton and only 4 of those European qualification. 1 FA Cup final where he picked the wrong team. Surely any new owner will be expecting better than that with at least regular top 6 finishes, some cup finals and cup wins. There must be better about.
05 Sep 2024 17:19:58
Expect at least top 6 finish? So finish with the likes of
Man City
Arsenal
Liverpool
Villa
Spurs
Newcastle
Man Itd
Chelsea
Brighton
We are miles and miles behind these teams/ squads.
The last game looked at bit better, against bottom half team in Bournemouth, then we capitulated,
05 Sep 2024 18:06:20
True BB, but surely with the right man we can build towards it. Yeah I know getting him is the problem, but looking at previous managers I don't think is the answer.
10 Sep 2024 12:13:06
There is absolutely no way we can expect our next manager to be getting top 6 finishes. I think the best we can hope for over the next decade is top half and reducing the debt.
