Just reading we have 13 contracts up in the summer, it's going to be busy.

bitter sweet
chance of a fresh start, but lot of hard work to do in one window. especially with a new manager
it's why i'd keep Thelwell on for another couple years, so it's not complete upheaval, new regime or not if it's complete change all over, i think it'll be hard for us.
Thelwell get's a bad rep for me, Beto/ Maupay aside i think the targets/ business have been good, especially the targets given we have no financial strength.

I agree that KT gets a lot more grief than is deserved. He's done a lot more remedial work than he gets credited. Not a single manager or DOF has a flawless record. Can't see him staying around with new owners as I think they'll want their own appointments and so they should for a billion quid.

Both Dyche and Thelwell also have contracts that expire in the summer, I would like a clean sweep with both those two and a good few of our present squad got rid, time to move on and this takeover really presents us with a great chance to finally get things right and move Everton on from its near recent disaster.

thats what i mean though GB, i think too much too quickly could be devastating aswel, i'd want something at least having a passover period
KT has been trying to do deals with 1 arm behind his back, and especially in attacking instances EFC not really an attractive club for that.
i think the targets themselves have been respectable, sorting out the loans going outward at EFC have improved and youth scouting/ recruitment under him seems to have finally been scoped in on
i'd like to see him given a chance with competent higher ups personally.

Agree GB. New horizons and hopefully some success before my time is up.

Can see the logic of keeping our DOF wblue2 but my fear is we have had Moshiri, several managers and DOFs and so many average to poor players over the years and now finally maybe just maybe Freidkin will be the Messiah we have all been waiting for, he can clear them all out once and for all and start from scratch we go again and who knows, just can’t help feeling things are changing now and it’s going to get better.

You can't buy players with buttons, what part of that can't anyone see, you go do the weekly shopping with 20 quid, you may be able to put food on the table but it won't be very good, same with therwell, nobody knows what is going on behind the scenes, but he has got some decent players who have made us better, so let's not run before we can walk.

The majority of those thirteen players are not worth keeping anyway. So as people say, time to start from scratch and change the whole mentality of this club.

Only way to go for me Brass, fed up to the back teeth with second rate everything at Everton,

KT contract up in summer. Go all out for Davie Weir from Brighton. Need someone who has an eye for talent.

Of the 13 with contracts up its only DCL that we may probably miss.
Young, Coleman, Virginia, keane, begovic, Gueye and doucore all unlikely to be missed.
The others are our loan players and a bit too early to judge whether we’d want to if had the option of making them permanent deals - Mangala, Harrison, lindstrom and Broja.
Will be an interesting summer with hopefully a few youngsters given a chance to step up and a few decent additions being made to the squad also.

Just hope they can keep us up and we don’t offer any of them silly contracts between now and the end of the season.
