McNeil? Anyone want to change their prediction ?.

28 Feb 2026 13:50:56
David Moyes has once again removed all the excitement for a game, 1 hr before a ball is kicked. Hope we get a miracle, but I've forgotten the feeling of excitement watching us. McNeil over George really.

Footy day at last predictions please 1-2 today for me hard fought match but we nick it.

28 Feb 2026 09:55:38
Hmm, I fear our run of good sway results will come to an end soon, placing even more focus on our terrible home form. I would happily take a point today.

28 Feb 2026 11:19:11
I'm with Moyes. Go for 0-0.

28 Feb 2026 12:12:26
Going for a 1-1 today.

{Ed025's Note - im going for 0-1 and Ndaiye to score..

28 Feb 2026 12:37:54
0-0 if we're lucky. I just hope that clown Barry is not playing.

28 Feb 2026 13:20:57
Good on you, Ed, mate.

28 Feb 2026 13:55:13
McNeil.

28 Feb 2026 16:02:33
I'm going 1-2 at half time. I'll predict the final score at 5.

28 Feb 2026 17:43:44
2-3 to the blue boys. Easy this prediction lark.

28 Feb 2026 05:55:34
Off to Newcastle today hopefully it worth it coyb.

{Ed025's Note - have a great day Bretto mate..

28 Feb 2026 07:45:27
Enjoy, mate. Be nice to get back to winning ways.

28 Feb 2026 18:30:26
What was it like, Brettto? Every one of us is jealous. I could hear you all throughout the 97mins. Pickford's save in injury time must've gone down like a lead balloon with the Newcastle fans. ??

28 Feb 2026 20:02:08
Mate, it was great. Our away fans r boss, it was the first one, been so good, one to go. The Newcastle fans were awful, so quiet all game, only cheered when they scored, turned around shush, our fans didn't shush for long.

27 Feb 2026 22:23:16
Would love us to take a look at Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille this summer. Young, rapid, brilliant a putting defenders to the sword. Would be reportedly available for around £25 million.

{Ed025's Note - i want you as our head of recruitment BN..

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2026 10:46:39
Haha I think any of us could do a better job than who has been in charge in the last decade Ed! They have not set a high bar at all.

{Ed025's Note - we really need you mate.. :)

28 Feb 2026 13:03:06
Good shout that. He looks big and strong, if I remember rightly. I can hear the words "Too young and not ready for the Premier League" echoing around the corridors of the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

28 Feb 2026 14:09:37
Daft question, BN, but what sector do you work in? If it's not football, where do you get your info from? It amazes me how our scouts seem so inept in the modern game. How we are still operating without a RB or striker is criminal.

27 Feb 2026 20:31:48
Anyone think we should be kicking Hugo Bueno's door down to get him signed when they go down.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Feb 2026 05:54:18
Yes, he got everything we need.

27 Feb 2026 11:02:13
Just listening to Moyes press conference, he obviously doesn't rate Dibling at this stage, why did he sanction the move, £40million for a teenager is serious money and then to find out that he's not good enough to start or even come on from a the bench, we need an explanation.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Feb 2026 14:03:41
Plus £27 million on Barry, who isn't Premier League level, and only plays him because we have no 1 else other than Beto. Is Rohl an option to buy for £16 million or something? ? Anzou has disappeared even from warming the bench. So that's nearly £100 million he has sanctioned on players who he obviously doesn't really rate, or aren't ready.

Did he have the last word on Alcaraz, or did Alcaraz play enough games that we had to sign him? Add KDH and the loan fee for Grealish, plus young George and his 2 transfer windows; that's around £150 million, and he starts 2 of them with Grealish injured. No doubt I have missed a couple as well.

27 Feb 2026 14:31:02
The boys said we couldn't afford a 50-60 million pound striker. If you add the dribbling and Barry money up, you have 67 million. 75. That's exactly what's missing from our team. Maybe, instead of signing Alcaraz, we could've got a right back also.

Wasted money. Then, if we had sold McNeil prior to the last few seconds of the window, that would've been 20 million for a left back.

27 Feb 2026 15:23:26
Rewatch any of DMs pressers from the start of season to now, and at no point did he ever say anything about TD without the prefix to every statement of 'he's a young kid and one for the future'. Giving pelters to someone who has been 100% consistent about his assessment prior to any game time is probably the same drivel that inspired Les Dawson old biddies down the Post Office sketches.

Over ya head? Yeah, probably.

27 Feb 2026 16:28:12
What about Aznou and Rohl? Might agree if we were ripping it up in the league, but two wins from nine games suggest something different. Moyes saying these players are not ready, while playing players who consistently let him down, is baffling and frustrating. Dibling may or may not be one for the future, but what about the other two? Both have shown that they can play; one sits on the bench and one doesn't even get picked.

So yes, the manager does deserve pelters. His formations, tactics and substitutions have to be questioned, because at times they are confusing, to say the least. Nice to see sarcasm still exists when logic fails.

27 Feb 2026 16:29:59
Very true, Fbs, he has always said Dibling would be used sparingly.

27 Feb 2026 17:45:48
We all feel the frustration of spending so much on players that don't start, especially when we have so many areas that need improving. Spending a fortune on young players is what many clubs are doing - it's the transfer policy of the top 6. However, they already have established starters / a first XI, which is quality; we don't. They have the income from Europe to pay for it and more; we don't. They field decent sides for cup games; we don't. They have managers willing to give the youth game time; we do. I think you get the idea. It all feels like we are trying to run before we can walk. It's a risky strategy that may pay off, but we could do with results now, not in a few years' time.

This season has shaped up nicely for some middle table teams to push into the top 4 - if we had beaten Wolves, Spurs, Brentford or Newcastle at home, we could have been up there. I name those teams, as I genuinely feel we had a chance against them based on form and home advantage. You could add Bournemouth and a few others to that list also. Our best buys have been the likes of KDH, Illy and O'Brien, who have all cost a lot less and have shown prem experience without sitting on the bench all season. Our scouts have been rubbish recently and must have thanked their stars when the Grealish deal landed on their doorstep.

27 Feb 2026 19:31:44
Agree BR, mate, we are still in with a chance of Europe, starting with a win tomorrow would be a great help.

27 Feb 2026 10:55:26
So I'm coming up with the boy for our first game at the HD for the Burnley game - all the way from Folkestone Kent. I've got tickets off one of my contractors (using his season ticket)
He says he can WhatsApp them to me but is there a little more to it than that? It will be one wasted journey if we can't get in ?‍♂️.

Someone posted something similar recently, Snodinsnads. Worth having a look through the banter pages - there was something about needing to share a code so they can send it to you for the digital wallet.

{Ed025's Note - i got 2 tickets sent to me on whatsapp with the QR code for Village street and at the door you just scanned it and went in..

Hi my fellow evertonians now I know some like GB and some other posters on this forum will disagree with me but I believe Moyes is close to running his course with this great club of ours.
I actually believe that many who support Moyes do it from a position of better the devil you know and fear the unknown with remarks like be careful what you wish but what if the next manager is more progressive than our current one are we prepared to stagnate because Moyes might one day turn out to be the moyesish frankly I think not in my humble opinion he has shown what he can do I am sure our new owners never thought to themselves let's invest millions into Everton just so they can escape relegation I think it's time for supporters to man up and brace themselves for a better future fur this great club without yesterday's managers like Moyes being grateful for just remaining in the league and being happy to play reasonably well against the so called big sis with his inferior tactics and being the gallant loser remember our motto UTFT.

27 Feb 2026 16:33:12
Think many have forgotten our motto, Toffeboy, and, as you say, are grateful just to survive. It is sad when you think what a proud club we once were. John Moores, bless him, would not have put up with all this nonsense being shown now. "We are Everton and the supporters expect this club to be winning trophies." RIP Mr Moores.

28 Feb 2026 10:02:20
Brassington, excellent post. I was fortunate to see Everton during the John Moores era, and I fully agree with your comments.

26 Feb 2026 16:27:32
Look it just was not the same game (my opinion) live, that some on here are describing. KDH was certainly not rubbish, Gueye is losing reaction time, Garner (as someone else said) would make a very good 10, KDH and Armstrong would make 2 good DM's. Watching the game, yet again was the inability to score.

Read this by another poster:

Yes we lost at home 0-1 to man united
Yes Tarks got beaten by pace
(By a young player -who had just come on as a sub)
Yes we were playing players out of position
-but Losing 0-1 is still no disgrace
Despite us still not having a prolific striker, we still had attempts on goal, plenty of action in their area and achieved over 10 corners.
To Blame the manager for all the above is fickle,
We are still in a strong place in the league, and almost at the magical 40 points.
Some of you need to Give it a rest.
You win some, you lose some. -accept it,
Despite the result, We are still going the right way.
And yes, Our home performances do need to improve, there was some woeful passing last night. but they'll know, and they'll acknowledge it.
Get behind the team. -and the manager.

26 Feb 2026 16:56:42
Great post, Dms. To add to it, I think we were the better team for much of the game, and, as usual, the usual culprits made a hash of a couple of good scoring chances.

{Ed025's Note - we had a lot of the ball GB but im not sure that made us the better team mate, as usual our crossing was awful and we would not have scored had we played until Wednesday...especially with the gruesome twosome up front..

26 Feb 2026 17:05:32
You should never be happy losing, regardless of the score or who you are playing. Team selection was again baffling, and I don't care about them acknowledging it when they keep bloody doing it. Moyes's tactics are awful, and what went on with the corners was quite frankly embarrassing. The team make it hard to get behind, given the manager's tactics and team selections.

26 Feb 2026 18:17:27
You hit the nail on the head there, Ed, the gruesome twosome. I think it's time to play Tyrique up front, mate.

{Ed025's Note - i cant see why we cant at least give it a go GB?. we can all see that this just lumping it up to Barry and hoping for the best is not working mate, that is not asking for a miracle its just trying a different approach and thats what irks us all with Moyes that he is so set in stone with the antiquated methods that are holding us back..

26 Feb 2026 19:36:17
I want Moyes to succeed, but he hasn't had enough windows yet. He's going to have to change the team somehow soon if Europe is our goal. If it is, we will need a glut of new players next window, because a lot of our present ones just aren't good enough, mate.

26 Feb 2026 20:36:44
I agree with BMD. I think his tactics and his team selections are poor. I have heard the BBC and our press, whoever it is at Everton's press conference, asking stupid questions like, is the stadium cursed? No, it's not cursed. Unfortunately, we just have a manager who sees the subs bench too late, when the game's dead, and can't tweak his own tactics during the 90 minutes. I respect Moyes, I do, but we all know he won't play youth, so who on earth sanctioned Rohl, Dibling and Aznou again? Gana is a great servant, but he's 36 years old, no way he can last 90 minutes every match, so why can't Rohl get minutes for Gana? But Moyes picks his favourites, that's my opinion.

Why not give these lads game time? Graham as well, he should be getting cameo appearances, but no. Beto and Barry are absolutely shocking, let's be honest. Again, that's on our transfer recruitment team, if there even is one. The question we all need to answer is, do we trust Moyes with money to spend in the summer? Me personally, I don't, and what young prospect would want to join our club when Dibling, George, Rohl and Aznou aren't even getting minutes as it is.

26 Feb 2026 21:04:34
Agreed, Andy. As has been commented previously on this site, Moyes supposedly has final say on all transfers. Why not then back his own judgement and give some of the youngsters signed last summer some proper game time, so at least he can properly evaluate them and decide if they have a future with the club.

Why he didn't prioritise an RB signing in Jan, who knows.
