Being reported we would let DCL go for £60 million, yeah right bargain then hmmmmm.

GuernseyBlue

1.) 19 May 2024 20:30:16
No one will pay us that for him.

17 May 2024 07:46:33
Looks like Onana will be off before the 30th June to balance the books for FFP, offers over £50 million being reported with Bayern Munich interested. would sooner he goes than Branthwaite, just the start of the expected mass exodus.

GuernseyBlue

1.) 17 May 2024 10:34:22
Personally I'd rather he went and we kept braithwaite, I can't see both staying but onana will be less of a loss . selling players to balance the books is one thing, leaving the team weak os another, any mistakes and we will be in the championship.

2.) 17 May 2024 12:05:52
It is a shame that we cannot keep hold of him until after the tournament, where he will no doubt feature for Belgium and shine around better players.

3.) 17 May 2024 13:04:39
If we could recoup more than we paid for him I’d bite someone’s arm off. For me, he’s massively over rated.
He may come good for someone else of course, and good luck to him.

4.) 17 May 2024 13:53:06
I don’t rate him either JB, think we paid £33 million for him, we have to raise money so sales will be important, we don’t ever want to go through this again mate.

5.) 17 May 2024 14:24:06
There is a considerable sell on fee that is owed to Lille.

6.) 17 May 2024 15:17:05
Isn't 25% on any profit we make BlueNose.

We need cash in, doesn't suit us but will do well in a more confident possession based team.

7.) 17 May 2024 16:11:13
75% of £20 million is still a good deal for us.

8.) 17 May 2024 20:39:19
Both will be off as needs must we are deep in financial mess and as an ED says Evertons successive boards have been negligent (my word not ED's) in not managing overspends. We are a Premiership side with supposedly Premiership facilities, Academy, youth sides etc! Surely a good Head Coach listens to each Coach of U18, 23, reserves etc!

9.) 17 May 2024 21:38:03
Personally as much as I don't want to see him go, I think selling branthwaite is the only way we avoid another ffp penalty. Because whatever we sell him for is basically pure profit.

Question really needs to be, would you rather have Branthwaite and a 4pt deduction or lose Branthwaite. To be honest I'd probably take the 4pts to keep him.

10.) 18 May 2024 07:26:23
I would as well Efcone. But, as we know there are no set rules for point deductions Vs over spend. I think the prem would say you're still taking the piss and had the opportunity to balance the books but chose not too and hit us with a massive deduction.

11.) 18 May 2024 12:35:11
Take another penalty and keep Braithwaite at all casts loosing him will cost us more points than ffp imagine Keane or Holgate there instead frightening.

12.) 19 May 2024 16:32:42
Completely agree take -4 and keep branthwaite. He seems like a good lad with a sensible head on young shoulders, I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to stay 1 more season. Also as good as he is tarkowski deserves equal credit! . Onana can go with my blessing, he's added little.

16 May 2024 16:46:36
Any truth in the report Man Utd could move to Goodison while their ground gets a redevelopment?

GuernseyBlue

1.) 17 May 2024 08:20:34
It would be better for their home supporters if they played at Spurs ground.

2.) 17 May 2024 08:44:50
Love it BB???.

09 May 2024 15:23:02
Now reports saying the are at least four new lots of iUS investors plus a Quatar one good times ahead, just have some faith this will turn out alright for us.

GuernseyBlue

1.) 09 May 2024 16:31:51
Sounds more like Vultures circling than good times ahead, but as always GB I admire your eternal optimism and wish I saw the world through your eyes?.

2.) 09 May 2024 16:40:48
So many posters on here kept saying we were going down but we didn’t Sean managed with three games in hand and a good haul of points, so it not all bad news someone will come in and take us over and we begin again buddy, no point being negative all the time this is Everton after all.

3.) 10 May 2024 00:39:19
Hope that you are correct GB. My biggest fear is that the stadium will not belong to the club and any revenues from other events at the stadium will benefit others.
We need new owners who want the club to get back to being among the elite, who get financially rewarded because the club is doing well, not using it as a cash-cow.
No doubt the players and Sean have done well to keep us in the premiership regardless of the eight point deduction but in the future I want us to be better run financially and also more attractive to watch. For us to succeed in the future we have to attract young supporters and that will only be possible if they see us playing exciting and attractive football. Getting rid of the over 30 brigade and bringing on young talent is the way forward and I am not sure your mate Sean is the right man for that task.

4.) 10 May 2024 14:24:46
He isn't. He does not trust young players.

5.) 10 May 2024 14:42:15
I think he will BlueMike, really good article on Thewll and Sean and what will happen this summer, yes there will be sales and there has to be, the Club is the main thing here, obviously there will not be loads of cash but there will be some, it’s going to be a case of the loan market and scowering the lower leagues, at the end of the day we have Sean to thank for keeping us up and a big thanks goes to him, hopefully 777 will fall through and different investors can be found, it not all doom nd gloom mate imagine if we had gone down, but we didn’t so can do something about it.

6.) 10 May 2024 15:09:12
Big thanks to Dyche! Try thanking the fans who turned up home and away geeing up the players. Thank the players who put the effort in to get us over the line. Thank three other clubs for being worse than us. Thank Dyche when he fekks off.

7.) 10 May 2024 15:38:10
Kept us up mate and for that I happy, was never going to be pretty now we move on to the next chapter, seems a couple on here would have been happy to go down but play nice footy gmmmm.

8.) 10 May 2024 19:49:37
Right - I give up. I’m joining GB and casting aside my doubts and negativity. Fed up of all this negativity I keep reading and feeling…

Everything is going to be alright! We have been through all this negativity before and we have been fine. We found one billionaire out of the blue and I’m sure we will find another. Why bother being downbeat? I’m going to stick d ST one money on 3-0 to us tomorrow. COYB.

{Ed025's Note - love it BR..

9.) 10 May 2024 20:31:19
If you can’t beat them, join them Ed. There’s a lot worse things in life.

{Ed025's Note - i could not agree more BR..

04 May 2024 14:04:36
Blimey according to the Telegraph another lawsuit has been brought against 777 yesterday in New York, Ed re assets they said they owned but didn't,002 told us we should have stayed away from them.

GuernseyBlue

{Ed025's Note - thats all we need GB..

1.) 04 May 2024 16:56:07
We should all take out a lawsuit against them ?.

2.) 05 May 2024 10:00:51
Imagine a fly on the wall documentary of how not to run a football club. We could make millions.

Any one know exactly how much cash we have to raise from player sales before the 30th June to avoid further problems with FFP.

GuernseyBlue

1.) 20 May 2024 08:06:20
£1.50 GB ?.

2.) 20 May 2024 09:22:16
I don't know but if I remember weren't we something like -£90m in the last accounts?

{Ed002's Note - They are not the same accounts that are used.}

3.) 20 May 2024 09:35:21
No one on this site

The worrying thing is probably no one at Everton either.

19 May 2024 18:50:31
Once again VAR but it's the people that run it we were done here today, we played well and full credit to the Team, bar that dopey pass from Young of course.

GuernseyBlue

1.) 19 May 2024 20:17:38
We moan like anything as do Managers but I bet the Clubs keep VAR after the vote.

2.) 19 May 2024 21:34:16
I think they have to dfs; it’s the future! Problem is: it’s used in a way that makes no sense.

Surely, you stick with the ref’s decision unless VAR see’s something otherwise. Do offside from the furthest foot forward. Goal line tech seems to be fine. As for handball, play it at real time and see if it changes the outcome of the passage of play.

Today should have been simple but the ref went against the evidence. Oh well. On to next season.

3.) 19 May 2024 20:54:07
Yep I reckon VAR will stay.

19 May 2024 16:53:50
Good first half Sean has the Team really well set up, it's not all Gooooooners.

GuernseyBlue

17 May 2024 13:24:01
Maupay on his way back from Brentford, not good enough, let him go.

GuernseyBlue

1.) 17 May 2024 15:02:31
He scored at Brentford GB. So what did they do different to us for him to score? We seem to have a knack of getting rid of players who go onto do better. Do you think our coaching and game plan could be at fault rather than the players?

2.) 17 May 2024 15:06:49
Agree. But we need to buy a buyer first GB and get whatever money we can.

3.) 17 May 2024 16:13:36
Wouldn’t touch Maupay with a barge pole, he’s exactly the sort of player who needs to be moved on, hopefully he can go for free.

4.) 17 May 2024 17:10:54
Doubt any of us would GB. We all know he needs moving on but we ain't in a position to give away on a "free" and need to find a buyer.

5.) 17 May 2024 17:52:05
Nothing is free we save on his wages, simple.

6.) 17 May 2024 17:58:07
The difference is they play on the deck and flood the box with players and not hoofed in for 1 striker to wait for the perfect ball. He isn't the answer and will not suit Dyche ball but I do love his shi9housing. Still time for Brentford to make an offer as he did well for them. Guess they want to get the big man's deal done before they make any decisions.

7.) 17 May 2024 18:14:01
GB,

We can't just give away yanno. Haha. We would after pay up his contract and he carries a value to the business. Simple.

8.) 17 May 2024 18:14:07
I think Brentford want to buy him FBS, best thing about him is his mouth.

9.) 18 May 2024 10:44:07
He had enough time and enough minutes to get used to whatever system it is we play, plus numerous training sessions. For whatever reason, him and us just wasn't a good fit so we should cut our losses and get rid.
He has spoken about the way the fans treated him here since he left on loan so I don't expect that he wants to be at the club when the season starts. Let's be honest, he's made a name for himself this season for all the wrong reasons. His social media and the way he conducts himself on the pitch brings unwanted attention, the lad comes across as a bit of a rat. Get what we can for him.

10.) 18 May 2024 10:55:26
I don't rate him but they play 2 up top. Wonder if they would swap Toney wissa or mbenue for him lol.

16 May 2024 16:46:36
Any truth in the report Man U could move to Goodison while their ground gets a redevelopment.

GuernseyBlue

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

1.) 16 May 2024 19:04:27
Can't wouldn't happen, some things are greater than money.

2.) 16 May 2024 19:18:56
Never say never mate.

3.) 16 May 2024 20:22:26
No police force could control it the hatred the residents around goodison have for mancs they would need to deploy the British army every home game ain't happening.

4.) 16 May 2024 20:35:32
Absolute no chance they will hold the Manchester derby in the city of Liverpool GB sorry.

Everton should be the last home team to play at goodison end of pal.

5.) 17 May 2024 12:49:55
Why not do a deal? They can use Bramley Moor free of charge providing they pay for the redevelopment of Goodison so we can stay at the old lady.

{Ed002's Note - Everton will not be able to stay at Goodison.}

6.) 17 May 2024 13:58:49
Hope that never happens, we need to move on Nick.

7.) 17 May 2024 16:54:37
The coach wouldn’t make it out of Walton this has to be a wind up.
