Rooney was 16 when it became obvious he should be in our first team. okay he had the body of a man even back them. but would like to see others who are young and not as broad shouldered, like Graham, given a chance in pre season. if you are good enough 17 years of age should not be a bar to trying one or two players out. not expecting a Lamille but let's be honest. we don't have a great track record of bringing academy players through to the first team.

The ones asking for Dixon and all them lot to get a game were saying the same for astley and all the others a few years ago who were part of our most successful youth team, where are any of them now? I’m not even aware of any of them playing lower league let alone still playing.

the ones who are good enough you see get glimpses and first team level exposure in loan deals, and you see them get it early doors
wishful thinking that some of these 21's are good enough helps no one.

I’m pretty sure Braidy Graham will be involved with the senior team squad next season. He’s clearly at the level needed, unfortunately a very high percentage of the u21 squads (although very good players) are just not good enough or at the same level.
