Well said Andy.

I have no doubt that the club will get the right players in who will buy into the Everton ethos.

We are linked with just about every player and people get frustrated when someone else signs them. The top players aren't going to come to us yet because they want European football.

We have to lay solid foundations and build from there. A mixture of youth and experience will set us on the path back towards the top six. It will take a couple of windows before we get the right squad to start challenging.

Have patience my fellow blue noses, we are on the way back and hopefully relegation fears are now consigned to history.

Don’t buy this players want European football rubbish. Just look at who Utd are signing. It’s all about the money. You want to play European football go sign for Celtic. Oh no wait their wages are crap. Money, money, money.
The reason we can’t attract the “ top players” is because we can’t afford to pay them 250k a week. If we could they would come, regardless of European football.

{Ed001's Note - the 2 players United have signed both joined because they were boyhood United fans and rejected even the chance to speak to other clubs. It wasn't about money for them, it was about living the dream. They could have got a bigger wage elsewhere or at United simply by turning it into an auction. They could have also ensured the transfer fee was higher by doing that, and players get 5% of the transfer fee.}

So their not on ridiculous wages at Utd then? How many players when they sign for a club say it's always been my dream to play for blah blah. Utd overpaid for them and offered them silly money. That's why they are there.

I agree with you southdean, money is ruining football,

100% money has ruined football, look at Isak at Newcastle, great couple of seasons, Liverpool show rumoured interest, he now wants 300k PW rumours unsettled, richest club in world can't afford to pay him, he will no doubt go to one of the power 5, teams just can't compete even a club with unlimited resources. It won't change.

In regards us and our transfers, like most I'd have hoped to have a couple more in by now but now panicking too much as yet, we will get players in am confident of that, really hope we land Kubo he certainly has that wow factor about him, albeit looks tad lightweight for premier league.

I will reserve my judgement until the window closes, remaining hopeful that 1 or 2 unexpected gems arrived.

There needs to be a wage cap or the hole game of football is pointless, it will be the same teams winning year after year, what's the point, I for one are loosing interest.

May as well do it to F1 too.

It’s always been my dream to earn millions of pounds a year….
