We all know the clubs situation regarding the loss of players due to African Nations and injuries.
Is there anything in the rules where Armstrong could be recalled to the club at the start of the transfer window and then returned to Preston on the last day of the transfer window.
If it is allowed, both clubs should be happy with the situation, Everton have a player back while others return from injury or African nations and Preston have him for the rest of the season.
Otherwise bring him back when the window opens to stay.
{Ed001's Note - there is nothing to stop it happening. Liverpool a few years back had injuries at right-back, so recalled Ramsay from loan at the beginning of Jan and then sent him back to where he has been again at the end of Jan.}

Wow I didn’t realise clubs could do that. Thanks Ed. Would be a sensible move.
{Ed001's Note - he can only go back to where he was, due to only being allowed to play for 2 clubs in a year, but there is nothing to stop him coming back to play for the month.}

Would it depend on the contract? Some have a fee in place for a recall. Still be worth doing imo.
