Said it last night and today’s performance proved my point. Barry and McNeil should be nowhere near the first team. Gana needs resting. Square pegs in round holes at the back. We can all see it. Why for the love of god can’t Moyes? These last 4 games is the perfect chance to blood certain players, give game time to fringe players and let them show what they can do.
We have Patterson and Aznou, especially Aznou who should be playing, but no square pegs round holes. Tim or Harrison can cover Gana, George and Dibling can replace Barry and cover McNeil. We are not going to qualify for Europe, but we are safe this year. Let’s try something new and who knows Moyes might get a surprise. Sorry Moyes lovers.

Agree Barry & McNeill are poo But we hopefully all know that DM isn't stupid after being 3rd longest serving PL manager.
The other guys u mention can't be up to it yet as well as BG in U21 but how easy is it to criticise from sidelines as fans??

Disappointing but not surprising. Beto causes problems even though his control is lacking but without him. We are left with Barry who cannot lead a line. And looks out of his depth. McNeil should not have been starting before George. And sideways passing went on and on. Mykolenko is for me a championship level full back.
No guile. Ndiaye looks to have lost a bit of spark without another player like Grealish who can control the ball. Should have had a penalty but that is history. Europe not out of range but going to need some big results to get there. More enterprising in team selection to begin with.

I've always thought we need to give Barry sometime to bed in and get used to the League, but he is so far off it, even I think he can't stay next season.

I have not even thought about wanting to replace Moyes until today. But I feel the time is now right for him to go. He has cost us a potential 6 points in just the last 2 games. Playing McNeil still is crazy, as is opting for Barry today.
Yes, we are safe. Yes, safe is good from where we have recently been. But safe is not good for where we aspire to be. The time is now right.

Well I’m usually in the Moyes camp and respect the guy hugely, but everything that happened today was all his fault! His inability to try something different and give some of the youngsters a go is just shocking, to say the least! George should have started instead of McNeill, Barry again was hopeless and should not play another game for us this season - give his shirt to young Braiden … for GS, what do we have to lose by giving this young man a go? We’re now in no-man's land of mid-table and we should just give him a go! Moyes needs to change!

Two teams fighting relegation played at the same time today. Both Everton (safe) and Wolves (relegated) were obliged to put out their strongest sides. Everton have also to put out their strongest side against City (playing for the title) .
25 Apr 2026 19:00:04
So why didn't we put out our strongest side then?
25 Apr 2026 19:02:31
I doubt George will be rushing to sign for Everton Reserves in the summer.
25 Apr 2026 20:12:46
We did in the Manager and Coaches opinion.

And not a corner.

You need the luck of the gods to escape relegation sometimes. That was a completely clear assss penalty.
25 Apr 2026 19:44:21
It's the excuses given by those in charge that annoy so much. How can anybody come to that penalty decision and then attempt to justify it today? There is definitely an agenda now.
25 Apr 2026 16:41:19
Gone backwards again - Moyes needs to take the shackles off these players and give George / Dibling etc a run of games - so boring at times.

It's been so obvious for months that we're not being relegated, and anyone with any sense has known we were never going to get Europe - he's just a coward, who would far rather play a player he knows will only give him a 5/10 performance, instead of risking someone potentially actually doing something.
25 Apr 2026 16:03:07
Yes, we are safe. Why doesn't DM just go for it and don't be like a point was a decent result today. That's if we get a draw, we could get a European spot if he goes for it. Come on DM, change it up abit.

And there we go 1.0 down.
25 Apr 2026 16:24:25
Are you serious? He'll never ever take a chance on a youngster. Everyone knew his starting 11 today.
25 Apr 2026 16:37:31
I know BB 1 Down and brings on a defensive midfielder, says it all. Hopefully he knows what he is doing. ????
25 Apr 2026 17:31:58
Apparently not.
25 Apr 2026 14:22:55
That team just describes Moyes to a tee! Get rid of him, and don't say moves saved us last year, we saved ourselves, guy's a dinosaur.

Where the hell is Braiden on that team sheet for today? He's not even named in the squad. Got to be tonnes better than having Barry up front!
25 Apr 2026 14:53:20
I really don't understand why anyone is surprised. Moyes has his tactics, and I don't ever remember them ever changing. The big issue is who do we change him for? He is a safe pair of hands, and we will be just above mid-table, with the possibility of getting into Europe each year. We will get new players in, but if he doesn't play them, it really doesn't change the scenario.
The new recruits he will play will be the seasoned veterans who have a history in the Premiership, and preferably players that he has worked with before.
It all depends on the owners and their management. It's a business to them, and they may well be satisfied with the status quo, at least for next season.
25 Apr 2026 16:15:07
Moyes needs to go! But it won't matter, we are going back to fighting for 15th, guys a useless joke.
25 Apr 2026 16:25:31
Oh, watch it. You're not allowed to talk about Dithering Dave on here.
25 Apr 2026 14:15:39
Well BlueMike was spot on with his post as Barry starts today. Moyes same old tactics.
