Andy, I saw that rumour too mate. No chance I would want him loaning to Roma. Fancied this lad for us for a while now. Rapid, great feet and has that South American grit.
He would cost around 20/ 25 million so not sure why we spend that and then send him to Roma mate.

BN, I read it was to get round work permit issues but I'm not sure how true that is. I'm with you, if we buy him then he should be in our squad from the get go, not loaned out to another team.

Absolutely mate. We aren't exactly flush with cash or right backs as it is. With so many players needing to be recruited, to essentially take around a quarter of our rumoured transfer kitty away to aid another team would be madness.
Looks a real talent though tbf and is only 21.

BN, I haven't seen the lad in all honesty but, if he's that good, maybe it's worth getting him out on loan to gain a work permit? I suppose it depends on the other areas we need to address. If we get in another CB then we have JO'B who can slot in at RB again, Seamus might stay fit for a few games too!
As i said in precious reply, I'd rather we buy players to keep and bolster our own squad but, if this lad is potentially going to be a very good player, maybe its worth getting him before his value sky rockets. As you can tell, I'm a bit conflicted on this one, keep flip flopping on what's best ?.

From what I have read though mate, they want us to buy him to loan him out with an obligation to by so they can dodge financial restrictions. If that is the case, we would be merely a pawn for Roma's gain which I don't think any of us would be on board with.
