Newcastle's owner have stood their ground, and put a £150 million on tag of their star sticker, if our owner have the ambition to return our club to footballs to table, they to must stand their ground and put an eye watering price on Branthwaight.

Few would argue that he’s one of those strikers that is worth the money by today’s standards. And I’d say that Branthwaite is worth £80m in the same financial context.

The difficulty comes from what motivates the owners. Newcastle owners write their own cheques in life but I don’t think TFG have the same philosophy. Not sure on Isac contract situation but Branthwaite has two years with one option to extend. So I’d say we are strong for the next year then after that it’s a lottery.

Used to be ProSet cards in my day PSG. Hard to get hold of Lineker.

Very difficult but exciting summer ahead.
Poor planning to have a lot of players needing replacing - Coleman, Young, Keane, Decoure, DCL - likely Patterson too.

Add in Lindstrom, Harrison, Broja who all not good enough to warrant renewing loans and we are thread bear in some positions.

I think we will have to use loans again and may need to sell Branthwaite to fund some of this.

Can’t see Man Utd or Spurs offering 80 million mind

Going to be a busy summer

Think we need x2 full backs, one centre back (2 if Branthwaite goes) , right winger, attacking midfielder and a striker.

Or sensible financial planning considering we looked like going down at one point? Our strategy will be different now than it would have been in the Championship.

Spurs would offer richarlison and £10 million. i would take spence and Johnson for him though.

From a transfer point of view, we suffered from him not gaining 3 (2 for Tuchel) deserved England caps. That would have put him in the £80m bracket. I honestly think we keep him for another year as we are perfect for him to develop but if any of the big boys come, he will be sold for a ridiculous profit regardless if that's a little below the fee some expect. I guess we hold a strong negotiating position and his fees even if only £60m would do our coffers no harm. Good luck to him either way, I won't be bitter.
