Missed out with Delap and now looks like Grealish is going to Newcastle hmmmmmm, onwards to Davey and his own hit list, will be fascinating who we actually end up with, full trust in our Manager bring it on exciting stuff.

Not too disappointed with either GB to be honest.

I doubt we were ever interested in Grealish.

Nor me JB.

Yeah we are not and never were signing players for £300k plus per week wages. I don't doubt we showed interest with a cap of £120/ 150k per week but that's never going to have worked as JG will have suitors. And regardless of the passive aggressive jibes he's got on here, lots of em too. We can't compete with CL clubs as an attraction so we never stood a chance for Delap. Really nice to see the bubbles bursting and people finally lowering their ridonkulous initial fantasies. Was getting tedious reading it. Only another couple of weeks to go before things finally start. Earlyish July lads.

Same as that sure our Boss has some gems up his sleeve that we know nowt about.

Business we have done so far has been good, getting Alcaraz signed up and if we get Tete on a free also good, what has been really good has been the outgoings excellent work for sure so far.

With the new recruitment team coming in I highly doubt that Moyes will be unearthing any gems.

The guys paid to do the scouting and recruitment will unearth the gems and Moyes will have to have some input in agreeing to the club signing them but that’s about it for Moyes in terms of new player recruitment.

Spot on Dan.

All the paper talk is just click bait. Until a player is seen signing a contract, believe nothing.

Between them, I'm sure DM and the recruitment team will have targets that none of us would've remotely guessed.

It's just nice to know that we can spend again and that we actually have football people in charge of the company credit card.

DM will be heavily involved in identifying and approving new players and will forward his own list of players as well as the recruitment team’s.
No players will be signed without DM’s approval and as our manager he’ll actually have the final say on any incoming and outgoing transfers.

Sorry DPP but with all the new recruits and investment we have in the recruitment department and them all being very savvy people it’s highly unlikely that Moyes will be getting the final say on transfers.

Moyes role is to manage the squad of players he has, nothing more nothing less - I think the days of managers recruiting players and the team then being left with a mish mash of players when that manager is sacked and replaced are finally behind us.

For too long we’ve had managers picking players and we’ve been rubbish.

We need a style and players and managers recruited for that style not to suit managers - that way the next manager shouldn’t have massive issues.

I’d expect Moyes may suggest players but those in charge of recruitment will ultimately have the final say and that’s the way it should be.
