Hey Ed how come some of the so called top teams can spend so much cash and don't break PSR, reading only yesterday Liverpool have now spent over £250 millions so far and will keep spending, Chelsea as well the same huge amounts of cash being spent, is there a two tier system with Top and bottom clubs or can we all do it in some way so the rules are not broken, surely there should be rules in place that we all have to abide mate.
{Ed001's Note - Liverpool have spent it over 2 financial years as the window was spread out. As such they have so far spent less than City, United, Chelsea and Arsenal. They also had plenty to spare as Klopp would never spend the money at his disposal as he was loyal to the players he had.
Chelsea have just used every loophole going to allow them to spend crazy money, it will catch up to them. They need to sell a bunch of players again.
United are tight on PSR too and need sales. City will just have people pay over the odds for sponsorship, kits manufacturing etc and no doubt most of that will actually come from the owners.
Winning trophies does help bring more money to spend as well. That makes a huge difference to revenue.}

Looks like our owners (to a lesser - financial -) extent are trying the City route - Ladies Team, New Companies, new financial astute people purchasing stakes. Also joining the big boys in not shouting about it. Also think (I don't know) the Prem may be treading carefully (imminent independant regulator) .

Think it's a real shame the super league six still haven't gone and joined the European league instead of inflating the transfers to suit them imagine how good the English league would be without them would be like football was in the days before the premier league appeared and killed football no more 100mil transfers and players getting 10mil a year in wages.

The window definitely misses 02s bumper breakdowns of who's on the hitless and who's not. 2 or 3 of those long concise peeks behind the bs curtain every summer were priceless and reset the mindless mumbling. Unfortunately we are all mushrooms without him. RIP 02 and the relevance of this site. He ruled with an iron fist but it was worth it for his knowledge.

I was just thinking about Ed02’s list FBS. Always shone a light through the copious amount of muck we were linked with. The guy was incredibly knowledgeable.
We’ve been linked with over 40 players this window and I don’t think a quarter of them are actual targets. It’s an absolute quagmire out there and no real way of knowing what is going on until they have signed wearing the kit at the training ground/ stadium.
