Bugger I've drawn England in the pub sweep. Still I've got Qatar as well so still have a chance.

There are no good teams in the World Cup anymore, so England have every chance of winning it. I hope not, but they have every chance.

12 Jun 2026 19:45:40
They will be s**** under this charlaton.

12 Jun 2026 21:41:02
Cheers dms, I feel so much better now. ?

12 Jun 2026 07:49:20
Could sign Trippier after all. He's considering his Wolves contract and he fits the Moyes bracket of Prem experience and being over 30.

Good Rb. But, oh deary me, isn't he old. Some need to stop tucking their t shirts in their trousers.

11 Jun 2026 19:23:31
Refreshing to see us linked with Mateo Pellegrino or the Spanish Big Dunc. I mentioned this lad as a potential signing back before the January window was open but this is the first time I have seen us actually linked.

24, 6ft 4, left-footed (always better players) tank with a real presence but can move well for a big lump much like our beloved no.9.

Parma spent much of the season battling in the lower half of the table, so he wasn't getting many opportunities in front of goal but still managed a respectable 9 goals. It is his all-round play that makes him appealing for us though.

The lad spent his younger years cutting his teeth in the Argentinian leagues so will be no stranger to the physical battle.

This would be exactly the type of signing I would love us to make. Might not be banging in 25 goals a season but that is a rarity these days. I would much rather us get a lad in who can actually play football, bring the ball under his spell and look to find his team mates.

Imagine he would be available at around 20m too, so not a bad price at all for a well-rounded striker.

Looks decent.

12 Jun 2026 09:29:04
9 goals in 40 matches isn't much to shout about, especially in a very poor league, no matter what team you're playing for. I think he will be another donkey, and we already have enough of them donkeys at the club already. Why do we have to have a 6ft 9 striker anyway? What's wrong with playing football on the ground where it belongs?

12 Jun 2026 11:19:42
You think he will be another donkey but have given zero reasons as to why.

"It is his all-round play that makes him appealing for us though. "

"I would much rather us get a lad in who can actually play football, bring the ball under his spell and look to find his team mates."

"6ft 4"

It is as if you didn't even read the post.

Keen to hear what posters' thoughts are on making Tyrique George's deal a permanent one?

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jun 2026 19:46:29
Get it done already.

11 Jun 2026 19:54:46
Nope.. Send him back.

11 Jun 2026 19:54:50
Hope we sign him, mate, he has good pace.

11 Jun 2026 20:23:44
Effective from the bench but not from the start. Not many chances, to be fair, but as he's an impact sub, I'd suggest sending him back, as Moyes doesn't do impact subs. At least not until the 87th minute when we're already a few behind.

11 Jun 2026 20:44:47
Depends on the price.

11 Jun 2026 20:53:31
If we could get a new manager, I would keep him.

11 Jun 2026 23:13:56
Still raw a step or two further than Aznou! What is his option?

12 Jun 2026 00:27:28
Think he's worth a punt, as he's obviously got ability and would be a back up for Grealish. I would assume that the fee would be in the region of £20m, as Fulham had a bid accepted last summer for £22m.
My only concern is Moyes, as I remember him saying that they were happy with him because of his work rate, and I'm concerned about his game time, as apart from the 70th minute Beto/Barry switch, he doesn't like to make substitutions and doesn't understand what a tactical change is.

12 Jun 2026 09:21:46
Why sign a young player with pace when we can sign an old player who plays at his own pace.

11 Jun 2026 16:27:42
Just heard DM on Talksport didn't go into the Burnley debate much, just that the owners new something like this could happen and they are fighting it because the club has already been punished and it happened before they took control. Plus he said it won't affect his budget this summer.

If, and it's a big if, Man Utd were to agree to pay 60% of Rashford's wages, would anyone take him on a season loan? I think he would be a massive coup and huge improvement to our team.

I personally don't think it would happen though, just wanted others' thoughts on something like this. :D

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jun 2026 15:11:09
Can't see Rashford playing as a loan striker, the lad wouldn't be up for chasing lost causes like the two we have. Could well turn out to be another Dele Alli.

11 Jun 2026 15:53:11
I would take him all day long.

11 Jun 2026 18:39:36
Not much chance of him coming, but yes I would have him.

11 Jun 2026 18:59:52
If you saw him play for Villa or Barce over the last couple of seasons, you'd take him all day long. Unfortunately, incredibly unlikely.

11 Jun 2026 19:17:53
Can't stand him.

11 Jun 2026 20:24:47
I'm the same as Skylark.

11 Jun 2026 08:20:39.
Morning fellow Evertonians bluenose, do you know anything about striker?
Lois Openda plays for Leipzig, not a tall striker by any means but had his fair share of headed goals on his obligatory YouTube. He has pace and seems quite tenacious.

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Jun 2026 09:15:27
Didn't he just have an unproductive loan at Juve? I think they have, or had, an obligation to make it permanent if certain conditions were met.

Although rumours a while back were that they would look to sell him soon after making the loan permanent.

Did look good at Leipzig though, and wouldn't be against us making a move for him, but I can't see it happening myself.

11 Jun 2026 12:37:49
Thanks for the info, Toffejase. Yeah, he looks to have raw potential.

11 Jun 2026 19:06:06
Not sure he is what we should be after, Toffebwoy1. He did very well for Lens before replicating his form for Leipzig for a season, but then fell off the year after. Not entirely sure why Juventus went after him, but they do some bizarre business, tbf to them.

Would have made more sense to get him when we were linked with him from his breakout seasons for Vitesse and Lens, I think he was 22/23 then. 3 years older and a player that very much relies on his pace, that is something that is only going to be on the wane the older he gets.

He would certainly offer a different profile to the Chuckle Brothers, as he loves to run in behind and exploit the space, but the way we set up under Moyes, I am not sure we would play to his strengths.

Beto has shown time and time again that he likes to run onto through balls, but seldom do we ever give him what he wants.

It is much easier to score goals in the Bundesliga than it is in Serie A, and he struggled whenever he was played as a loan striker for Juventus. I can't see us playing with two, and he doesn't have the attributes, physically, to lead the line on his own.

I doubt he would come cheap either, with Juventus having to sign him for close to 40m after the loan clauses were triggered.

He would be way down on the list for me mate.

11 Jun 2026 00:51:48
Well the only positive out of the utterly s***e news today is that it will not hinder our spending on transfers.

11 Jun 2026 07:34:50
I find it crazy that the three panelists that came to the decision to award Burnley this ridiculous sum of compensation are the same three that awarded us a ten point deduction.
It’s a disgrace that the Premier League thought it appropriate to use these three same people who got it so wrong first time round.
That very point alone should be put before the government as clear evidence that this body needs regulating. It does not have one single iota of understanding towards meeting out punishment.

I’m also disappointed that the club, in the first instance, didn’t object and ask for different members based on how wrong they got it in the first instance. We have to be better than this. And the PL has to be held accountable for its bullying of Everton FC.
BTW, this was never in the first place an overspend that caused a sporting advantage as we were sanctioned for interest payments for the new stadium. What that had to do with Burnley going down is something I’d like explained to me.

11 Jun 2026 07:37:41
Nope, fine with that, mate.

11 Jun 2026 18:01:39
Don't know about anybody else, but the notion of giving Burnley 1 penny seems like a grouse injustice.
We are being told to reward them for their own failure, incompetence, as they seek to cash in on the findings of the commission that did the hatchet job on us in the first place, and is now widely considered to have been wrong on the facts, and to have made up their own rules.

10 Jun 2026 21:12:50
So the £19 overspend for PSR was the Mychelenko signing which Everton at the time had to approach the Premier League for the ok to sign players due to our financial position. This signing was okayed by the Premier League and has now cost us a 6 point deduction and a total pay out of almost £65 million which also invcludes a compensation made to Leeds for them being relegated. Also are we now going to get Leicester, the 3rd team relegated, now seeking compensation for being s***? And will the 3 teams relegated this season, Burnley included for a 2nd time in 3 seasons, want compensation from us? I wish we had gone down because this Premier League are hellbent on making sure we never return to our perch, founder members of the Football League and pathfinders all over the shop, being treated like absolute s****.

The Premier League anthem should be banned from being played at Bramley Moor forever

Agree6 Disagree0

11 Jun 2026 01:17:39
If we spent £19 on the Myko transfer, it would still be £19 too much.

11 Jun 2026 01:29:27
I didn't understand it at the time we sold Digne to Villa for £23 million because of FFP, nothing to do with agent, Rafa not liking him, then spent £19 million on Mykolenko to replace him.

11 Jun 2026 16:16:16
It's all to do with balance sheets and amortisation. When we sold Digne (however it was structured) , we got the full balance on the "FFP" sheet, £23m. When we bought Mykolenko, we will have amortised the purchase over his 4 year contract, i.e. £4.75m per season.

This means that, in the season we sold Digne and bought Myko, we were net £18.25m up on that deal. That's only the accounting side though. I think it's well understood now that "The fat waiter" tried to dismantle us as much as he could when in charge.

10 Jun 2026 21:06:35
PS, Richard Masters should, if he has even a small amount of integrity, resign over the mess he has over seen, but he won't.

Agree6 Disagree0

11 Jun 2026 16:16:44
Won't happen as he does not have a bone of integrity in his body!
