I'm not surprised it was a draw, I don't think I can remember us winning our first pre season. We've still got players away, nobody is match fit and we played a number of players that won't be anywhere near the first team.
Just be happy that real football is on its way back.

I think Big Shing has a point: sack them all! Moyes, Pickford, Branthwaite, O’Brien, Gana, Ndiaye, Beto, Barry, Coleman, Baines, Big Dunc, Kanchelskis, the older Barry, Big Nev, Sheedy, Ratcliffe, Grey, Reidy, Kendal, Harvey, Ball, Dixie Dean, TFG, Doris the tea lady, Biscuit the Labrador and the fans. Sack them all, start again with Pep as boss, Messi and Ronaldo in the starting XI and then sack all that lot after 12 months as this is the Everton way…
Or we can take it as an exercise to blood some of the youngsters with a few senior members of the starting XI in terrible conditions. Nah - let’s just sack them all and turn BMD into a huge ice skating rink!

These games are all about sharpness and fitness and trying different systems and players. Don't read anything into them.
We got 4th place after not winning a single preseason game, so stop worrying and take the games lightly.

Whilst everyone entitled to their own opinions if you actually look at the posts made by BigShing there are only a handful and are all bar one are inflammatory to some degree to try and get a rise from fellow posters.
Hats off to whomever they are if that’s their bag and idea of fun.
However I wouldn’t bother with what they post.

Attended the accrington game last night and enjoyed it. Accrington only down the road so I managed to dodge the rain by sitting under cover and ble ding in with the accrington fans who are a decent bunch and a very nice little football club. The blues support was fantastic and I only hope the fans didn't get too drenched. As for the game, take what you will. Armstrong was great, Keane played well. It was just a friendly and played very much in that spirit. Like Ed has eluded to no need to get precious re the result etc. Re signings I think we just need to be realistic in terms of expectations, I don't think there will be a massive influx and it's more about getting the right candidate of player in the most urgent positions. I think we have got off to a good start and there will be more to follow. On a side note I'm probably one of Michael Keanes biggest critics but I can see the sense in keeping him. Onwards and upwards fellow blues, ah 'fellows'maybe tom in next?! ;-)

Good to hear Witty. It’ll be interesting to see how much they are paying him. As a fourth choice CB, we could do worse. Like yourself, I’ve not been his biggest fan but he might be useful to give others a rest when playing less key games.
