We have players who we know can only take us so far. the limitations of Tom Davies were seen long before he ever moved on. and now we have Garner who is simply not a game changer and regularly does not trouble the opposition. Harrison back to Leeds was vital. right back is clearly up for grabs. and everyone knows about our right wing deficiency. My hope is that Moyse does not settle for less than is needed. rather have an unknown player with ambition and burgeoning talent than established players who have not got the hunger to take us into the top 8 in the division. Out there. be it in Brazil or the championship, the States or China. there are players who we can get who are better than several we have. My hope is our scouting dept were busy while others took time off. Fans crying out for footballers donning a blue shirt with a bit of the golden vision, head up, seeing the possibilities instead of looking at the ball at their feet. It is to be hoped that those we want to buy are impressed by the plan that Moysey puts to them.

I truly believe if we get the right players in we can be a decent team, but as it shows right now we are bang average

Arnt going to be top players they are journey players squad players shouldn't be starters, we a half a team short am afraid and we will start this season slow as usual in my opinion.

There's still time to make signings before the end of the season but there's getting less and less time to bed these players in
The squad flies out to the USA soon which is not ideal for new players. Considering we all know our weaknesses/ need to strngthen at full back, right wing, attack and offensive midfield we're leaving it mighty late in my opinion.

Just another question. Why hasn't Barrie been playing? He knew when the season started throughout Europe
The U21s are back in full training. I don't understand why Barrie isn't playing giving his teammates time to get it used to his runs etc.

Barry was playing in the u21s so is back a bit later than everyone else.
I don't think there will be many if any signings until August and may be not until the season has started. It's typical Moyes.
He likes to manage the money he has to get the most out of it and it tends to be towards the last week or 2 that he really makes his move. I don't even think he would have got Barry in by now if it wasn't for others sniffing around.
Sit back and let it happen. Moyes is not interested in the season coming but more for the season after and he'll build for that.

Really don't think TFG have employed all these top people just to let the manager decide when he wants to buy a player.
If the player he wants is available then the club will go and get him, but only if a deal can be agreed with the selling club and the player. If not walk away and move on.
Which is exactly how it should be.

I disagree about Garner, him and Gana sat in that central pivot for most of Moyes games in charge last season. In a team who's form was in the top 8. Think some fans believe we should be buying the elite players who are not going to come until we are a team that can continually compete for Europe and or trophies.
