Cant let this one slip.

Agree mate the lad is class.

Think we should walk away.

£45m+ is a crazy price for a 19yr old who scored 2 goals but had no assists in 33 appearances for Southampton.

He definitely has the potential to improve, but that’s not guaranteed.

Shame as think he’d be a very good addition, but at the rumoured £45m+ it’s an awful lot - particularly when for that fee you could get the likes of Fofana.

I think the actual reason Dibling would be good for us is that the lad actually wants to play for us which is more than you say about Fofana, money is not our problem TFG surely are far better at that than us humble fans.

Im not too sure on that Gingerdan. The lad going to be a worldy player. I watched an Everton podcast which focused on Dibling. His technical ability is amazing and he is tricky, can cross and use both feet. If it's 45mill then I'd say stump up the cash and get him in.

04 Aug 2025 20:08:21
Defo finance not our issue.

04 Aug 2025 20:47:18
Spot on GB. Fofana doesn't want to play for us as we are not big enough/ don't offer European football, whereas Dibling realises he is getting a great move from Saints to a bigger club and to carry on plying his trade in the Prem and continue his burgeoning career.

Like I said earlier. People thought we had Newcastle's pants down for Gordon and he had max 6 goals and a couple of assists in just shy of 2 seasons. That turned out to be great business.

Who cares if they want 8 million more. We spent double that on Maupay. The lad is 19 and some people on here seem to be severely obsessed with sell-on value. This lad doubles his value within 18 months playing week in, week out at us.

The club cannot win. People hammer them for splurging stupid money on big club cast offs or last paydays but then hammer them for trying to pick up the nations best young talent.

{Ed025's Note - this is the sort of signing that we have all been clamoring for BN, young and dynamic and its the same with KDH, we have to forget about the money side of things, we have experienced staff who know what they are doing so lets not get involved in things most of us know very little about, i must say im starting to get excited now mate..

04 Aug 2025 20:48:08
It’s down to whether he request the move now I reckon. £40m is a lot of money for a prospect.

{Ed025's Note - dont worry BR they wont be knocking on your door to contribute mate.. :)

This is the thing Dentielad our supporters have gotten use to bargain basement shopping in Poundland. Their finding it hard to get use to us moving to Marks and Spencer’s. Next year it will be Harrods.

04 Aug 2025 22:02:45
Whilst he could become a world class player, he’s not there yet.

You also need to factor in that when he previously left Southampton to go to Chelsea he got homesick and quickly returned to Southampton - appreciate he’s older now and probably a bit more mature but it could be an issue.

04 Aug 2025 22:36:04
If he was world class already then his price would be even more extortionate. As ed25 says, it's the kind of signing we've all been wanting, a young, up and coming player who has ability.
We should forget all the talk about fees etc as that doesn't really affect us fans. We should only be bothered about whether he improves the squad and is the lad any good. If both answers are yes, then get him in if he wants to come.

{Ed025's Note - im with you BP..
