Apparently we are about to bring in a young striker from unt.
But before anyone gets too excited, in 40 games, out on loan, to lower league sides, he has scored 2 goals.
So, should fit right in.

Yet another right back Nahuel Molina plays for Atletico Madrid, 28 years old and they want rid last year of his contract, all three things make him an ideal Moyes purchase lol. ?

Who says we are after him. More paper dribble.

01 Aug 2026 16:27:37
More paper dribble: A Mr GuernseyBlue quote. ??????

01 Aug 2026 14:24:00
I have a feeling after we get humiliated by Hamburger today in our friendly, we will finally see some new movements in the transfer market: a right back finally, probably the Celtic player, and maybe a forward player, a winger.

In your dreams, you mean, mate.

01 Aug 2026 16:46:08
Agreed with Arsenal for Christian Norgaard 32, yet another midfielder, the mind boggles, or is this so Ruhl can play RB.

01 Aug 2026 16:51:19
Currently doing well Tofeebwoy1, Barry actually playing football, how long it lasts though. ?

01 Aug 2026 16:56:25
Not a bad first half, some players showing they're not as bad as some are making out they are, only half time but not too bad at the moment.

01 Aug 2026 14:09:52
To my mind this one Alistair Johnson is being pursued for two reasons. Probably the most important: price, probably a third of the price of our first choice options in that position. And two, he is the age that Moyes prefers, older players. He does not seem like a manager that thrives coaching youngsters or younger players who need experience and patience. He is all about the here and now. Now I know a manager needs to keep his win ratio up but Moyes is not the kinda manager you can put in charge of a project as those managers thrive when dealing with youngsters and finding potential gems that they can integrate into a cohesive team team structure.

Moyes is more pragmatic. I tend to play x system with players age 26 and over not a flexible manager, which is why I can see him and Everton as a consequence struggling in the league this season. By the time the January transfer window ? opens I hour to god I am wrong though.

Didn't someone say he was injury prone? That has me a bit worried about this one.

01 Aug 2026 12:27:09
Not too long to wait now for the incomings and outgoings, we will be busy.

{Ed025's Note - i hope so mate..

Looks like a 20-year-old striker from Man Utd is next on the list.

01 Aug 2026 13:58:22
Nice one mate.

01 Aug 2026 16:13:57
Can he play RB?

01 Aug 2026 11:49:03
Well game day, looking forward to watching it on TV, well streaming. ?
What we going for today, and please all those that have woken up on the wrong side of the bed need not apply. ?
Think we may get a win today 2-1.

{Ed025's Note - seems like i cant vote Pasty.. :)

Really want to see him give Dibling a whole game at 10.

01 Aug 2026 12:24:37
A win mate for us.

{Ed025's Note - now theres a surprise GB.. :)

01 Aug 2026 12:46:40
We live in hope.

01 Aug 2026 13:13:46
I think his best position is with Lipzig, for what ever we can get back from that rediculess fee, as a sweetener we could through in Barry, you know, but one get one free. ?

01 Aug 2026 13:38:47
I'd just like us to score a few. That's it really.

01 Aug 2026 09:38:23
Morning Blues. I have mentioned before these next 4 games will see how far we haven't come. I said 5, but the Stoke one has already shown how poor we are. The need for recruitment was paramount, yet the man who seems to have the most important part, Moyes, was working for Talk Sport for a month at the World Cup, while other managers were busy addressing their recruitment plans. It seems he is planning on readying himself for a media job.

Once we get shut, this shows me no commitment to the cause but a total lack of structure for his so-called 2 year project. If he can't be bothered to rectify his mess from last year but go and talk s****, as we all know this is where to the world he made the crushing news that we need to be where Brighton, Bournemouth and Brentford are. Then do your job instead of adding to your bank account and sort this mess out ASAP.

I'd guess it's the recruitment team that identify players and DM has a say in which ones. Long gone are the days where the manager does everything.

I'm sure the World Cup was in off season.

Is he not allowed to do his own thing in his free time? Slate him for the things that he is culpable of, but having a pop over being a pundit is a bit ott.

01 Aug 2026 09:34:57
Hoping Moyse gives Dibling a chance to play the 10 in preseason and give him a couple games.

01 Aug 2026 10:47:49
He's already played Dibling and he was poor.

01 Aug 2026 11:59:17
As a winger, not a 10, keep up.

01 Aug 2026 12:15:13
He needs a run of games in his favoured position, let's see what the lad can do.

01 Aug 2026 12:25:27
Think we were had paying all that money.

01 Aug 2026 13:19:00
Dibling was excellent at Southampton. He needs a manager who will encourage him and allow him to express himself and play him in his best position and give him licence to drive forward at every opportunity. Not a manager who demands negative defensive duties above all else and instils a fear of losing the ball or trying something different, and not a manager whose man management skills amounted to draining the player of every ounce of confidence by publicly criticising the lad and telling him to pull his finger out.

I believe we will not see the best of Dibling until Moyes has gone. Obviously I am hoping that we see the best of him come the first game of the season.

01 Aug 2026 13:59:24
Absolute bull.

01 Aug 2026 14:00:13
Yeah, and where did they end up?

01 Aug 2026 14:36:48
We're all entitled to our opinion, GB. Southampton didn't go down because of Dibling and I'm sure that many on here will agree that Moyes' handling of young talent has been a disgrace. Like I say, we're all entitled to our opinion. Have a nice day.

01 Aug 2026 14:41:46
Don't agree it's been a disgrace. DM has said from the beginning Dibling is one for the future and he will get minimal playing time. Would rely more from people who watch him in training.

01 Aug 2026 08:39:48
Got serious concerns about the season ahead, 1 signing, blatantly obvious what we need but nothing is moving.. Why is it we're so slow to address the issues we have had for a few years?? I have a feeling we'll be fighting a relegation battle by xmas.. 1 step forward now 3 steps back.. Just my thoughts!

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Aug 2026 09:09:25
Understandable TomTom, honestly think we'll start to see some movement in the next week or two.

01 Aug 2026 14:01:05
Sounds like that's what you want, mate.

01 Aug 2026 08:21:35
We have all been asking the club to sign a striker and a right back. Now if they bring in Delap and the Johnston respectively then they have done what was asked. It doesn't matter whether we think they are not good enough, what matters is are they an improvement on what we have?
Delap in my opinion is better than the two we have, and Johnston is definitely an improvement on O'Brien who hopefully can now play in his favoured position.

So yes, they would probably not be what everyone wanted but if we do bring them in then we have to at least give them a chance.

Doesn't matter who comes in mate, some will gripe.
