Sacha Boey (born 13 September 2000) is a French professional footballer who plays as a right-back and wing-back for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich. Not wanted by his club, so maybe one to keep an eye on, as he would be cheaper; young French player, 25, so the right age, and he can't be allowed bad if Bayern Munich went for him in the first place.

Apparently a back up deal if we don't get the Celtic right back. One to watch, maybe.

Well some supporters are wondering how Moyes got even a few votes verses Howe. Well I for one voted for Moyes. I don't want either to be honest, but with Moyes we have a chance that he will be sacked soon and replaced by a top rated Manager who could attract good young players and who could get us playing fast attacking football which is good to watch.

If we go Howe in we would have to put up with him for much longer. Howe is just Moyes mark 2, well maybe slightly better but we should be able to do better than either.

Surely Howe is less pragmatic than Moyes in his style of play? If it was a choice between the two, I'd take Howe as at least he's an Evertonian. Moyes always keeps his distance on the point. Howe also has won a domestic cup, whereas apart from one final where we were truly awful after the first minute, Moyes can't get very far.

So if Moyes went and Howe came in I would see it as an improvement, but then the bar is very low right now.

Has anyone any knowledge on Franculino D’ju (striker) . We were linked last couple of windows and this one and at one point we were favourites to sign him but it’s all gone quiet.

According to some reports we are one of a number of clubs expressing interest in Dju and tracking him, could just mean we've had scouts at their games though. We've also tracked Osorio at Midtjylland as well.
Midtjylland has already turned down a EUR25m bid for Dju from a Saudi club and also Hull.
I like Dju myself, has a good variety of goals. Had a minor knee injury last season but is said to have recovered from that.
He's got explosive pace so great for counter attacking and plays off the shoulder of defenders exploiting space, can really exploit high line defending.

Predominantly left footed but scores with both feet, more a snap shot striker, minimal backlift on his shots with maximum power, very different to Beto who takes a massive leg swing and then gets clattered or knocked off the ball.
Also has a good work ethic, chasing back to regain possession.
I would prefer Dju over Delap myself.
I'd also take Osorio.

Yeah, I would love Rowe, very direct and will run at fullbacks and gets you up the pitch, he's a different profile to Ndiaye who draws defenders to him then beats them with his trickery.
There are some good options out there.

Transfer budget

I thought I would share some insights into the financial landscape, I am not a financial whizz kid but it’s information I have gleaned from various data sources.

Spending on first-team wages, agent fees, and amortised transfer fees is 85% of our total football revenue plus a three-year rolling average of player sale profits.
So as a note, we wouldn’t feel the full benefit of an Ndiaye sale in this window but profit would be spread over the next three years, if we sold him for £75m that’s around £60m profit so £20m would go on the figures for the next three years.

We also have a lag on revenues as the last published accounts were for the final year at Goodison Park which were slightly higher than previous years but not as good as they will be.
So this summer we have a budget of around £50m and some of that has already gone on the deals below, around £13.1m.
Tyrique George 4 years £18m so £4.5m against budget.
Merlin Rohl 3 years £18m so £6m against budget.
Hayden Hackney 5 years £16.5m so £3.1m against budget.


Spreading deals out to the maximum 5 years that count for amortisation is best but comes at the risk of being left with a player on the books if you look to move on.
Hence why the recruitment team are looking at players 20-25 for longer deals and what can make the Grealish deal on a permanent deal extremely tough, if we signed him this summer for say £30m on a three year deal that’s £10m off the budget. ?
Plus the high wages would also have a massive impact on the figures!

Frustratingly next season we see the true benefit of the move to Hill Dickinson and our spending ceiling would rise by around another £50m with the additional incomes from extra match day revenue all the hospitality and events like the Lionesses game, the Magic Weekend and England vs Fiji.
These commercial activities are why Spurs can spend ridiculous amounts!
So this will still be a tough and at times frustrating window as the recruitment team try to get talent in and also balance the books.

Next year, based on projections for the new stadium, it would be nearly twice that.
Do remember, those are the amortised fees, so a £50m fee over 5 years only adds £10m per year.
Europe, at just Conference League level, would add about £21m, and Europa League and Champions League would yield greater.

It's all pie in the sky, ST. None of the finances are as simple as that. You have agent fees, taxes, and a whole lot more on just players sales and purchases alone.

As for the general running of non football events, it'll be slightly more, but not much that will make any difference in the short term with the events that have taken place.

We aren't likely to have made much money on the events that have taken place so far. However, they were a necessity to show the real prospective people and big events that will drive revenue, that we can stage them, and it be successful and profitable.



That'll mean match day revenue increases will be what will be the real benefit in the short term, but if you take Spurs as an example, their main revenue are the concerts and other events that make money, more than double from match day revenue.

The stadium will make big revenue gains but not for a couple of years yet. We will need monthly, weekly and multi-night events, which we still need to get a full license for. At present, it is 4 per year. Spurs do 30! Spurs and others are on a completely different level for now.

I read and respect it, DMS. However, my point is the finances in football/business is not just as simple as a 50m budget and a new stadium doesn't just bring in loads of money immediately.

Fans should take a look at the club's accounts, which are on the website. It's absolutely terrifying. It's the length of a Game of Thrones novel. We will have an idea of our new situation when the 25/26 come out.



Whatever you read in the media and what some so-called experts in the media say, are not worth taking notice of.

Nothing directed at you here, ST. Totally respect your information and appreciate the time to look into it all, but just making the point that football finances are madness to try and understand, and none of us ever will.

Been thinking about it and I reckon we need to have a look at Curtis Jones to replace Idrissa Gueye. He clearly hates playing for the s**** and wants guaranteed playing time, which he would get with us.

Only 1 year left on his deal, so we could bully them to sell him to us before we steal him on a free in 2027. He wouldn’t even need to move house either. It makes sense for everyone involved.

There was a clip I saw of a young Everton fan in a petrol station and he shouted him over for a selfie. Unbeknown to Jones, he was being recorded and the lad was an Everton fan.



The kid made a joke and Jones laughed along with him and saw the funny side, instead of being a tit. Made him go up in my estimations when I saw it tbh.

Last summer I was full of optimism and it really didn't bother me that we were slow to bring players in. I thought DM would take his time, but only bring in the right players, which I was willing to accept.

But instead we got a Lb who apparently is not ready, and spunked £60-70m on Barry and Dibling, who look crap.



So this summer I don't have that patience or optimism. If these players we are waiting on turn out to be mince yet again, it will just be soul destroying for everyone yet again.

I posted a month ago, about how we would be stuck in the mud as far as transfers go this summer yet again. My mind was put at ease by a couple of regulars on here, about how patience is key, and none of the other teams around us had yet to do anything either. We're now heading into August, with one Real new signings, and the club trying to make a big fuss over signing 2 loan players permanently, without either of them being the loan player we would want signed (Grealish) .



Am I ok to panic yet? Or are there more words of wisdom and comfort from those that hope every year, only to moan at the end like the rest of us anyway?

KDH was a good buy last season. Hackney may be the same. We will likely get a RB and Grealish before the end of the window.

What is missing is a striker. I expect Delap to be approached as Moyes tried last year.

No idea who we will get in, but something should happen.

The big one is who goes. McNeil, Patterson and Barry are all surplus (Barry if we get in another striker) .

Grim state of play if that is the case ED, players are usually surplus to requirements for a reason. Lazy scouting if you ask me, plenty of little gems to be had abroad if they were looking for them properly. Ndiaye is a good example of it.

Suppose you also get flops that look ok in other leagues. B&B spring to mind.

So the search for a new right back is apparently nearly over. We had the whole of the planet for our scouts to find a gem, and lo and behold he’s been in Scotland all along. Who would have thought that?
I mean, can you imagine the air miles we have saved alone.

Everton net zero, we can do that easily. Especially with our Strikers who are contributing massively to this. Well done, boys.
