Could we send someone to spy on Bournemouth and Brighton and try and get an eye on their blueprint two extremely well run competitive clubs.

I reason you should do it Bleeds. Just find a bigger tree to hide behind.

25 Oct 2026 15:58:43
What a game take a leaf out of Bournemouth that's how to do it, get at them constantly those prime donas hate it well done, Everton take note.

Because they visit with the mentality 'we can hurt these'

Whereas our club, and its fully the manager imo, turn up and say 'These are a good team, a points a great result'

That will never change until we lose the manager.

I have been extremely vocal in my disdain towards the manager, however I do believe its so strong due to compounded emotions due to us always hiring the same kinda managers. 4 years of Dyche and Moyes, factor in Allardyce and Benitez too all in the past 8 years. Sucks the joy out of the game.

Carlo madrid came calling and Lampard obviously just didn't work, but young modern managers have show major success at other prem clubs in the past 5 years. Try it again.

25 Oct 2026 16:23:37
Never really expected us to beat Arsenal, but to me the real test will be how we get on in the next three league matches, Newcastle, Coventry, Brentford, and where that leaves us before the big game at the end of November.

25 Oct 2026 17:43:39
Exactly Farmer Giles mate.

25 Oct 2026 20:37:57
Well it will be the same players, the same tactics and the same boring play. It will tell us nothing that we don't now know.
We can only hope that Branthwaite and Grealish are fit and that he gives George and Dibling a run and leaves Johnson, Maitland-Niles and Narguard at home, however read line one again.

25 Oct 2026 15:53:29
Carrick about to become available i would think after todays game.

25 Oct 2026 13:24:11
Another game of football where we set records for the teams we play. Arsenal hadn't scored a set-piece before today.

If that clown plays Johnson ahead of Dibling in the next game, then that alone is enough of a reason to drag him out of Finch Farm.

Johnson had 6 touches in the first half and 10 in total before he was subbed off in 72nd minute. 10 touches for a right winger in todays game is absolutely horrendous. Dibling came on for him and had 24 touches.

It is time to give this lad a fair crack of the whip.

Agree8 Disagree0

25 Oct 2026 14:14:32
Absolutely BN and not just a couple of games mate. Give the lad a proper run in the side.

25 Oct 2026 15:02:06

Aye mate, same with young Hackney as well! At least the two of them have the b******* to get on the ball and look to go forward.

25 Oct 2026 15:25:38
Moyes take on jake obrien had me convinced he's trying to loose the dressing room said obrien still has a lot to learn probably what he thinks of dibling n alcaraz not the sort of manager that makes you want to run through brick walls is it.

25 Oct 2026 16:16:08
Moyes was half the player JOB is and just like we are stuck with a hatstand for a center forward we are also stuck with a turnip for a manager.my God i'm getting close to being finished with football.

25 Oct 2026 20:09:16
Have you been drinking BB you called it football!

25 Oct 2026 20:47:09
I see what you did there SB made me laugh lad.

25 Oct 2026 21:40:22
You need to laugh about something BB after the crap we've been watching.

25 Oct 2026 22:22:01
To true mate.

25 Oct 2026 12:27:34
Think people need to understand that just because you might want Moyes out it doesn't mean you hate him. Moyes has done the job he was brought in to do as did Dyche before him.

Both are similar types of manager and are solid mid table types. However if we are ever to kick on then we may need to take a chance with a different style of management.

For to long we have been good old Everton were all the players defend for their lives and have a go.
Our next manager has to break this mould if we are ever to genuinely progress. Does it come with risks probably yes, but it is a risk we must take. Otherwise we will remain good old Everton at least they try.

Good post that BMD ?.

26 Oct 2026 00:17:23
Keith andrews i think is the man for us.

25 Oct 2026 10:23:53
I read all the posts with interest and, appreciate the passion in all, however, while I might not agree with all, and I am a Moyes out now supporter, I accept the argument that rather than sack now and pay compensation, it's better to leave until the end of the season when his contract runs out.

That would give us plenty of time to have talks with the parties we want rather than trying to find someone in a rush. I doubt we will go down but accept we will have to write off another unsuccessful season.

25 Oct 2026 10:11:12
Alright lads, well what can I say after that. As usual you go with the hope the team will have a go despite the opposition. Have to say I was disappointed again with the team selection. Johnson in my opinion offers nothing and the lad spent most of the game watching. Jimmy G is clearly out of form so leaving Hackney on the bench was another mystery.

Once Arsenal scored (another calamity goal) they barely bothered trying, and the opportunity was there for us to have a go. But apart from George, Armstrong and KDH nobody seemed to interested. Even our corners when we got them were awful.

Changes should have been made at half time, but no he decided to try and keep it tight and hopefully Nick a goal. This was clearly the wrong approach so when we conceded the second it was no surprise to see the changes being made then.
And this is what is so frustrating, once Hackney and Dibling came on you could see the attitude of the team change.

Armstrong looked a lot happier having Hackney alongside him, and Dibling just looked so calm on the ball and brought Rohl and the others into the game more. We have a good core of young players but they are not being played because Moyes prefers the old pros and doesn't appear to trust young players.

So were we confident of a win on Saturday. Not really given our history, yet strangely enough once they scored we looked like we could have gotten a result but tactics and team selection killed us. My only positive would be that near the end we had a peek into what we could be, with a lot of talented young players who are Premiership ready despite what the manager tells us.

As for Barry well I think enough has been said on that subject, but honestly playing Charlie up there is not the answer not the way we play anyway.

Pretty much sums it up for me AW. I'm just being passive for the rest of the season and waiting for May. Moyes will be gone hopefully and fingers crossed we get someone who is more tactically dynamic.

You'd think after something close to 130 games against the so called big 6, it'd click with him that his defensive tactics don't work with 12 wins, 29 draws and 85 losses.

I have no enthusiasm for the rest of the season. I'm going to enjoy the food and drink at the stadium. I've had probably 30% of the food on offer, so going to try and sample as much as I can. I do like the Indian food and the woodfire pizzas are okay. Haven't had the fish and chips yet and I saw a new BBQ outlet which looks good. I'll take a few photos, watch the paint dry, but I can't even be bothered getting angry anymore.

Roll on May anyway.

{Ed025's Note - amen to that John..

25 Oct 2026 12:03:21
Agree - it seems so simple it just baffles me how he's not willing in the slightest to just try something different.

25 Oct 2026 14:33:37
Keep us posted on what's nice and what to avoid BJU. I would much rather read about the new food at HD than watch that dire excuse for football that we serve up every week.

25 Oct 2026 15:08:19
My goodness. We've gone from MOTD to ruddy Masterchef!

29 Oct 2026 03:11:05
30% of the food!!

29 Oct 2026 03:12:59
And wears clothes the size of a 12 man tent.

25 Oct 2026 09:55:51
I'm not a Moyes out, Moyes hater but i'd love Unai Emery to be our manager one day. He is an excellent manager.

I would like Moyes to start Dibbling and Hackney though, and give Alcaraz more minutes.

Agree3 Disagree0

25 Oct 2026 12:25:08
I'm not a hater either mate, but I now want him gone before it's too late to stay up.

26 Oct 2026 00:21:05
I would love unai as well but his stock is so high we have norfolk n chance!
Realistically any of the following:
Glasner
Keith andrews
Thomas frank

All i think would be realistic targets and probably push the club forward.

25 Oct 2026 08:47:59
1. Truth behind TFG strategy .

2. In Moyes We Trust? Or no?

3. The Everton team "spine"

Been tracking you guys on here for a while and I'm enjoying ?

Those three topics above ? are most on my mind lately when I check in here.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Oct 2026 10:06:53
Will we ever know the truth behind their initial intentions? Now we know they want out, best to move on quickly so we can plan for the future.

That future needs to be with a more progressive manager. We actually have the makings of a talented young squad, but we rarely get to see them all play. Someone like Howe would change that in a heartbeat. No one doubts Moyes affection for the club, but that's not enough.

{Ed025's Note - im with you JB..

25 Oct 2026 00:19:32
People taking the p out of Spurs, but by next week, they will be above us.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2026 01:10:48
Same with Fulham, all but sacked their manager and were in crisis are 2 pts behind us.

25 Oct 2026 04:32:34
They have spent over £350 million so they should be well up.

25 Oct 2026 04:34:11
If this carries on then we will be in another relegation battle. People say to leave Moyes until his contract runs out but by then it may be too late.
We need a total change in mindset, we have had enough boring garbage served up in the last 20 years. Tfg need to get out asap, take Kinnear with them & do us one last favour. sack Moyes tonight. I'd take fat Sam back over what we're watching atm, utter dross & no way forward with the current regime

UTFT NSNO ? ?.
