Just done today's quiz on BBC sport app and it was who has received the most red cards. of course it's Everton with 111.
Nothing corrupt to see here, move on.
Liverpool by the way. 69!

Wasn't Dunc responsible for around 103 of them?
Recently heard the one about the red for punching Thorne against Bolton and Moyes came into the dressing room and said, "You let us down there big man "
To which Dunc replied, "I know gaffer, I thought it was Nolan."
The guy was mental but he had a great touch and was a beast in the air.

Glad to see some of us still have faith in our team pity about the manager and comments in the press conference put everybody on a downer before we even get to the ground.

Short memories.

What was that? I've forgotten.
18 Sep 2026 14:06:12
6 pointer tomorrow we have enough quality to see them off 2-0 and HD will be rocking.

I'll go with that GB. Those tea leaves of yours are working well this season 😁.

Cheers mate I reckon we will keep our unbeaten run going, KDH and Jimmy to score.

18 Sep 2026 15:53:57
2-0 would be lovely, I'd take that all day long. Would make the start to the season very good indeed.

18 Sep 2026 16:20:41
I would take 1-0 to win the game even if it comes off Barry's arse.

18 Sep 2026 16:30:25
Be good to get a win before the dreaded 3 week off footy ahhhhh.
1
18 Sep 2026 17:59:05
Yeah I agree GuernseyBlue, home advantage will be a major factor, i'm going Hackney and George for the goals.

18 Sep 2026 18:15:54
I think they'll score, so I'm going 2-1.

18 Sep 2026 20:45:19
I'd take 1-0, 2-1, 2-0, 3-1, 3-2 as long as we win! And I don't mean like when we beat Liverpool 2-2 at Goodison or United the other week.
I just want us to score some goals from general open play, play some good football, keep a clean sheet and not get any injuries. Is that too much to ask?

18 Sep 2026 23:47:56
Exactly BR, Ipswich are a decent team who attack at pace this won't be as easy as people think. A win playing decent football would be enough.

19 Sep 2026 07:15:03
Who said it will be easy? Never take anything for granted 11 v 11 men, not robots, not predictable.

2-1
Barry, and a late OBrien header.

Has our CEO learned nothing from his low ball sale of NDIYE, 65MILL in a market for much lesser players were going for 100mill plus.
Now, or so we are told, he has put a price tag on Branthwaight of 80mill, is he crazy, or acting on the instructions of TFG?
I don't want Branthwaight going anywhere, but at the very least know one, in the present market should even get a sit down conversation below 120mill.

Jesus AB, stop ready News Now and all the other slosh out there. It's not like Dan or Kinnear came out on tele and went "Hey Jarrad is worth £80m if you want him!)
So if you see things in papers or NN take it with a pinch of salt and chill your beans.

18 Sep 2026 15:09:44
You may be right, but someone just sold Illman for 40 mill below market value, just don't want to see same mistake twice.

18 Sep 2026 16:21:26
How much did we pay for him?
1
18 Sep 2026 16:28:53
Always blue. As good as ndiaye is he wasn't worth 40 million more than we got for him. Would have been nice to have seen maybe another 5 to 10 million but 40 is extreme mate.
1
18 Sep 2026 16:38:19
Of he was assisting 10 to 15 goals for his team mates and chipping in with around 10 goals himself, then you might have a point. But, as witty says, considering his stats for us there is no chance we should have got another 40m for him.

If Bournemouth or Brighton bought a player from France for 10 million and sold him a few years later for 65 we'd be applauding them.

If you have to take rumours with a pinch of salt, reading News Now should give anyone sodium poisoning.

18 Sep 2026 19:50:03
NewsNow is funny to look at. It's guaranteed they put 1 article a week with the 'Everton need to unleash player's then you read it was players like Maupay or McNeil.

{Ed025's Note - i gave up on that site years ago Dentie..

Funny reading though, straight out of a Uni leather elbow patched lecturers jacket pocket.

It's pure rubbish Ed025. Every week we're about to unleash someone to turn our fortunes around, and you can guarantee it's a player nowhere near to the 1st team lol. Pickford could drop a clanger and you can guarantee we're going to unleash Tom King for the next game lol.

Newsnow isn't the problem, they just collect stories and put them in one place. The problem is the other 'sites' that come up with the stories that people believe as gospel.

Interesting words from Alan Irvine regarding Dibbling. As it is with DM, you have to read between the lines with their pressers.
AI said "First of all, he looks like he belongs here. Since he come back for pre-season he has been on it. He is a quiet lad and sometimes it takes quiet lads a bit of time to settle at a club like here."
To me, and not everyone may agree, he is basically telling us that TD didn't settle very well when he first moved to us. To say he looks like he belongs here is one way of saying he was a bit out of his comfort zone, initially. We all seem to forget that he is a young lad, miles away from where he grew up.
I hope last night gives him the confidence to kick start his career with us. He certainly had more of a smile on his face during pre-season.

Doesn't mean anything unless Moyes has confidence in him and plays him. I expect him to have some substitute appearances. I hope that I am wrong but Moyes normally has more confidence in the senior players.
What has to happen is for Moyes to find an alternative to Barry until the January window.

{Ed025's Note - any statue will do Mike..

If you're playing for your place and you do well then you should keep your place until someone takes it off you. So Dibling and Charlie should both play.
0
{Ed025's Note - i would start with Dibbling on the right BMD and play George in the middle instead of Barry, if Tyler fails to produce then bring Charly on at half time as his replacement and maybe Barry for Tyrique for the last 20 if things are not going well..

Bluepotato that's how I read it. And how a few have consistently said on here. Patience and giving someone time is not a common virtue these days.

And some on here who would of chucked him on the scrap pile like all the others in the past who have then gone on to shine, but some fans are the experts, 19 years old, away from home, playing for a massive club that's alot, imagine your 19 year old, do you think he could handle all that along with going out in front of 50k fans and one mistake everyone's screaming at you, its alot, he won't be the finshed article and will play good and bad, but we need to get behind our players and stop slagging them off for having a dip in form.
thats human nature, mind barry is pushing the dip in form to its limits.

Could Diberlings play as a numbour 9?
At least he could controll a ball played up to him, play a ball up to Barry, and it bounces about six feet away.

{Ed025's Note - he does not have the physicality AB..

18 Sep 2026 15:21:18
If this is the 'deep end' for him and rattling his nervous system, then the lad needs nurturing, not torturing.
That's what big clubs do. Is it not? . He needs to grow and develop slower and more naturally imo.
Yes, I mean far less match time.
2
18 Sep 2026 16:26:08
He needs to be playing, the lad has just come off a very good game to stick him back on the subs bench now would do nothing for his confidence. Told you lot a while ago that this lad had the talent to surpass Grealish who you were all orgasmic about. But he needs to play.
2
18 Sep 2026 18:53:26
Hey AD, are you here all week because I need to buy you a pint mate? lol
That Grealish bit haha – what a punchline 🤣.
1
18 Sep 2026 23:52:00
Watch him play then you can buy me a pint. In fact watch footage of a young Grealish at Villa and then you can buy me two.

He was 6 years old in the Villa childhood academy and carefully nurtured; they put him out on loan in a championship club where he helped them get to a play-off, and yes, Villa gave him time to 'mature'
Jack had to go through a steep, leaning curve.
Barman put those drinks on hold.
