I really hope DM is more adventurous with his team selections throughout the rest of this season. We are safe and it would be great to see how McNeill, Ndiaye and Alcaraz play together, you'd hope they'd be the mainstay of the team next season. They are our most gifted attacking players but also work really hard and fit into DM's defensive system. I'd like to see Chermiti get more time too.

It's also exciting to think how Branthwaite and O'Brien might play as centre backs together which means Patterson being given a run of games at right back. I don't think this is what will happen but we will see.

Would be nice to see some of the younger players given a run, see what their made of.

{Ed025's Note - im with you brass, i would have liked to have seen the likes of Chermiti and Armstrong given a run considering we are all but safe, but Dave will have his own ideas i expect mate..

07 Apr 2025 10:30:25
I think his hands has been tied by some of the average and below average players before Davey took over, and some bad injuries, we seem to be getting better on the injury front with Ndiaye and now Mc Neil back in the squad we have missed those two massively, fantastic times ahead BMD next season and more importantly a decent Team at last, will be well chuffed and so looking forward to it, it’s been a very long time coming mate going to be our best summer ever.

{Ed025's Note - hopefully GB..

07 Apr 2025 10:50:42
It ant get any worst Ed, pre Davey days are gone mate.

{Ed025's Note - i hope so GB, but im still yet to be convinced that it will be the massive turnaround that you expect mate, but i would love you to be right..

No two ways about it Davey has done really well since he came in, with a few incomings and loads of outgoings, think I read 15 senior players contracts are up this summer, whole Team will be different mate.

07 Apr 2025 11:36:26
I think we are in a much better situation than we was going to be under the last manager palace and brighton away wins also leicester and spurs at home would we would of won under s. d doubt it infact i can even bet that we woudnt of even scored against the teams am mentioning we was unlucky against united had great chances to get 3 pounts away at Brentford got good point at home against liverpool aswell so my personal view moyes will steady us i do agree with chermiti an broja though and also alcaraz ed 025 i like Charlie i just don't understand why he's not starting instead of doucoura but just want to ask you mate you do you think everton or moyes want to sign him cause i'm i right he only needs play 5 more matches before the transfer can be pernament i think they don't want him and i think its a massive shame an i will be very disappointed if that scenario is true cause when i see that lad play or come of bench on his day he can be a gamechanger and offers a lot more than most that start.

{Ed025's Note - i think it may be 6 games Andy but im with you mate i think he should start mate, my only theory on why hes not playing is that we dont want him on a permanent basis..

07 Apr 2025 12:11:40
He has a buyout clause between 15_20 million if am right its not a risk we have seen what the lad is capable off and cause its everton we won't buy him and another club will and i woudnt be surprised if he thrives under another club but i think we won't sign him ed 025 mate and if i had a free pound bet in why we won't sign Charlie cause it was thelwell who got him and frieken want to start from scratch but regardless the lads got talent so be dissapointed if we don't take up the offer for pernament transfer.

{Ed025's Note - so will i Andy, i think hes a talent mate..

07 Apr 2025 12:41:38
Hope we tie him down to a contract, the guy is good.

07 Apr 2025 15:53:16
I always thought the higher up the league we are, the more prize money we get, so if that's the case, maybe that's why he's playing the tried and tested.

07 Apr 2025 18:39:42
Don't think we will move much further up the table now regardless of what team we put out. Therefore I don't think the money difference is that great. But Moyes now has an opportunity to have a good look at all his squad, including the younger players.
Let's face it there are a few who won't be here anyway, so give a couple of the younger players a go.

07 Apr 2025 19:26:32
Of course it isn't going to be a massive turnaround. City with all their money took time. Let's learn to walk first eh!

07 Apr 2025 19:37:53
Need a few good players in and a mix of the Good player we have could be exciting, but how many times like Forrest bought 2 new teams and nearly got relegated, Moyes isn't stupid and he's Scottish so he won't buy players unless he wants or needs them.

08 Apr 2025 01:57:51
With Alcaraz, it could be more to do with fitness rather than any kind of financial decision. Obviously, there's a clause that will be activated but he's been doing well since coming in and he looks like a shrewd buy for the price quoted.
Maybe the last game was one too many after the derby match a few days earlier?

08 Apr 2025 08:10:32
Well using Forest as an example look at where they are now. Get the right manager and good players in and it doesn't take that long to progress. We already have some good players, just need to add more quality.
Less graft more craft.

08 Apr 2025 08:44:24
If we don’t sign Alcaraz but keep Doucs and Harrison then someone needs their head shaken in recruitment.

Get rid of the over paid bench warmers and get some people in who are on reasonable amounts and will play games, change games, seal off leads, show a creative spark, attack the opposition, get the crowd on their feet… is it too much to ask?

08 Apr 2025 11:32:11
If we do buy harrison then it clearly shows are player recruiting is piss poor yes granted he's a runner at best but if we want to start being a mid table team and try push for top 10 then as BR has stated doucoura an harrison are no goes we can do so much better surly ?.

09 Apr 2025 11:32:44
I agree with a previous poster, it's more to do with his fitness. He came to us without much game time due to injury and then a falling out with his clubs manager and being over looked. His reputed fees are small potatoes even for us and in no way are prohibitive. However we are safe much faster than anyone responsibly could have planned and now we have the chance to renegotiate any potential deal down. Seems to me finally we are showing some business sharps behind the scenes. Like him and he seems to be hard working and can clearly play and seems flexible which EFC has always banked on multi position players. Isn't very expensive in the climate and I think he seems pretty happy too. Can't see a problem here.
