Jack in the Team ahead of Dibling every time for me, last night proved it.
Agree3
Disagree0
30 Oct 2026 10:00:54
Why not both mate? Grealish on the left and Dibling on the right. Personally I would like to see Dibling given a go in the 10.
Dibling didn't have the best game by any means last night but the lad has had a half of football in the PL this season, how on earth is he supposed to build up any rhythm or confidence with that. Forwards thrive off minutes and he hasn't had a sniff. Not to mention the fact he is s*** scared of the manager, so never plays to his natural strengths and turns back to play it backwards, rather than running at his man like he did at Southampton.
Still refuse to judge the lad personally.
{Ed025's Note - its hard to judge him because we have seen very little of him BN, we all know that if your face does not fit with Moyes you will never win...just ask Charley, Hackney and Dibbs, Tyler looks miserable but who can blame him, his confidence is shot and i feel for the guy but only him can change that..
30 Oct 2026 10:10:28
I'm with you on that one BN.
My thoughts on last night was that people who (I believe) should be given a chance, were: Hackney, Dibling, Charly, Obrien (in his proper position) and look what happened.
If DM doesn't start rotating like this more often, we'll be gassed out by March.
Anyway, it was a great result and very much needed!
30 Oct 2026 10:25:01
You are spot on Ed. I am not going to come on here and say the lad played well, he didn't. However, I think the conditions are all against him to see him perform well. Imagine having Moyes as your manager.
The lad played well against Wolves and fans were delighted with what they had seen, then he goes and starts Johnson ahead of him, who has done nothing to warrant starts.
The only way we are going to see this lad improve is to trust him and allow him to build up rhythm and confidence.
He is not playing how he naturally plays the game. He was an out and out ball-carrier for Southampton. When he gets the ball now, you can tell he wants to go but he turns back and goes backwards. That negativity comes from the manager and being afraid of being pulled off the pitch.
Put him in Brighton's or Brentfords team and our fans would all be screaming what another gem they have unearthed.
Personally, I am not going to judge a lad who has been given 43 minutes of league football. When you also add in the fact that the lad is 20 years old, it only makes that a more sensible decision for me.
{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with that mate..
30 Oct 2026 10:53:47
Dibling was harshly given 3/10 he should have been given 4/10. How many chances should he be given. The one guy that had a tremendous game on the right when he played was George never seen since in that position. Get Grealish sober put him back on the left george on the right Garner RB, Hackney Armstrong in the middle, we should be goid to go.
30 Oct 2026 11:21:23
I thought dibling was good last night in general but his final pass was poor 2/3 times which is highlighted (rightfully so)
Their best player by a country mile is left back Lewis Hall, i think Dibling did well vs him and loads of defensive work too.
These young lads can't be removed because they have lit it up, they need some time and grace to find consistency.
30 Oct 2026 13:31:35
Dibling did nothing last night. Showed the occasional glimpse in frirndlies and must show it in training or he wouldn't even make the bench. Johnson is ahead of Dibling on the right and he *Johnson* is absolute crap.
30 Oct 2026 14:08:34
Disagree completely, but that's opinions.
30 Oct 2026 14:24:19
McNeil and Harrison were often picked ahead of people and they were both sh**e too, doesn't mean anything.
The lad would not have had the amount of interest in him from top clubs in the winter if he was no good. Southampton put a stupid price on his head and brought it down to get a buyer due to them being relegated.
The top clubs were already well-stocked for players and probably made a decision that the price was too high to pay for a player that would not get in their starting 11 and would be one that was a few years away from doing so.
The way he has been handled ever since he got here has mirrored how this club has been handled for the last few decades - p*** poor.
30 Oct 2026 15:00:44
It means everything, what those mentioned show in training do not bring it into big boys game. What I am saying is Johnson is crap but gets in front of Dibling who is probably better but fails to show it when he gets his chance.
Moyes said of the lad he was going to give him a hard pre-season. You say you would want to see him as a 10, so would I but who does he replace and in any case I rate Alcaraz higher and he cannot get in either.
30 Oct 2026 15:25:29
When I say it doesn't mean anything, I was specifically referencing that Johnson has not shown anything when he starts either, so if Dibling is better and neither show it in games (Dibling has played 43 minutes of league football btw) , then just play the better player.
30 Oct 2026 15:35:21
Someone else mentioned it that if dibling was playing for some other manager he would be getting mentioned as the next Beckham or some other ex prem English player but his manager is moyes who is not exactly a great man manager he sits there in press conferences saying he should've done this or he never did that never heard his praise any of the current players just blaas on about how hard it is to win a league match needs to take the brakes off.
30 Oct 2026 15:36:44
He's had one game for Christ's sake. But let's bin him for the pisshead because he's the future right?
30 Oct 2026 08:50:27
Interesting when looking back at past finals Everton have played in. 1966 FA Cup. Of the 22 players on the pitch, 18 were English and 4 were Scottish. Both managers were English. How the game has changed.

Watched game in Riga Latvia - what a place!
Game was great - exactly what been crying out for - had a go.
Just wish we did that in PL - play for the win which starts with picking the more creative attacking players.
Well done everyone - please Moyes make that the blueprint.

30 Oct 2026 08:27:12
Hope you had / have a great time in riga. The market is massive, also recall taking the tram out of the city to see the giant space monkey!
30 Oct 2026 08:53:39
There are no easy games in the Premier League. Very true, but look what we can do when we strut at our ground!
Please Moyes, take the hint. If we attack we could well win the games in the league too. Newcastle are a PL team.
30 Oct 2026 13:34:57
See that! most times I am out, *I think*.
30 Oct 2026 07:42:26
Good game last night and well done lads, for Mon and one change DM will make will be to bring Jack back in for Diing who was poor again last nigh, Jack will get us plenty of free kicks around their box and wind Newcasle up they were mighty lucky not to het a red card last night, bring on Mon a game we can win COYB.

30 Oct 2026 08:18:07
Wouldn't have Grealish back in the guys a clown. Dibbling just needs games, but would appear he's the new whipping boy now.
{Ed025's Note - but sometimes you can only say what you see with your own eyes BMD, as much as we all wanted Dibbs to do well the fact is he was very poor last night mate, i get that he needs more game time but there comes a time when he has to make a difference and be worthy of a place in the side mate..
30 Oct 2026 08:57:40
What I see is a player with great potential and absolutely zero confidence, was at last nights game and he just didn't really take anyone on, always looking to turn back and take the easy option.
30 Oct 2026 09:05:30
Simply not good enough we can't carry players we were done by Southampton.
30 Oct 2026 09:27:53
Sorry Ed but that could be said of a few this season yet they get a free pass for some reason. The lad spent most of the season sitting on the bench so needs more than one game.
Still the experts on here say he's rubbish so he must be.
Not to long ago the same experts were saying Moyes sees Hackney in training everyday so he mustn't be ready?
{Ed025's Note - i get that BMD and players with flair will always play second fiddle to grafters in Moyes world mate, i personally think Dibbs needs a loan to get his confidence back but with the shortage of players in the squad i think that very unlikely..
30 Oct 2026 10:20:04
He played well against Wolves and still didn't get a sniff the PL game after.
Most/All were on here raving about him and now look.
Put him under Andrews or Hürzeler and everyone would be asking why "we can't sign players like that".
30 Oct 2026 15:30:18
Spot on BN we will never progress if we don't build around our young players. It wasn't that long ago they were all saying Armstrong was useless mate.
30 Oct 2026 19:01:14
Never heard anyone say Armstrong was useless at all. In fact, it was entirely the opposite, fans were calling for his inclusion in the first team.
01 Nov 2026 01:38:05
I thought TD played ok - BUT there were times I was screaming at the TV to take the man on. Is he afraid? Been told to play this way? Who knows. But for me he didn't do anything wrong but didn't do to much either. I just think if he's given licence to have a go he will be the player we hoped he would be. Like others have said I just think he needs a run of games.
definitely better than last season tho. And I'm frustrated with moyes too but does he have a plan? Does he know exactly what he's doing with these kids? We don't really know but it doesn't seem that anyone in particular is pissed off by it? Are we to eager to judge? Who knows .

30 Oct 2026 08:14:43
Just watched moyes interview after game giving it its hard to win a game in Premier League and Hackney did some good things but there was lots about his game I didn't like one negative fella him.
Hackney was brilliant last night he said the same about obrien the last match some man manager just know th3m 2 will be subs come Monday it's hard to win a game in the prem because he likes it that way.
30 Oct 2026 08:50:47
He's managing our expectations at the cost of the players confidence. That's not on in my book.
30 Oct 2026 10:14:13
I thought Obrien was poor for their goal, but was otherwise good (I know DM wasn't criticising him last night) . To have a go at Hackney seems mad as he was very good last night.
30 Oct 2026 15:31:24
Think Moyes is managing his own expectations.
29 Oct 2026 23:37:44
Well done to the team tonight with the win fancy our chances away at Fleetwood too. them onto the semis dare we dream guys? Well Davey does have cup winning experience now so mayb this might just be our chance this season finally to win some silverware after so many years of waiting COYB ?.

Hackney was good tonight.

29 Oct 2026 22:12:17
He was GB, showed a lot of potential. I think he needs to start on Monday.
{Ed025's Note - me too Swinners, one of our better players tonight mate..
29 Oct 2026 22:46:02
Well it was a great win. The main improvement was that the side was well balanced, yes a little raw but they played well. As soon as Maitland-Niles and Narguard came on we were all over the place and conceded an unnecessary goal.
Barry played well, not only scored but had assist, maybe he can pass after all. I am beginning to dream that we may have a chance at a trophy this season.
30 Oct 2026 08:20:32
That's the key Mike having a better balance. Don't care how raw players are they just need to play together and it will come.
29 Oct 2026 21:44:29
Quiet on hear tonight, oh yeah we won so can't slag the team or the manager off or barry becasue he created 1 and scored 1 now on 7 goals for the season,

29 Oct 2026 23:44:50
I am delighted we won and great to see dibbling and hackney start. i'm not a moyes hater at all, i don't have much emotion for him either way to be honest. I just fear he will revert to type for monday.
{Ed025's Note - i hope not Witty, i was hoping Dibbs would show us what we have been missing but he was very poor mate, on the other hand i thought Hackney was very good and gave us a lot of energy, on a personal note unfortunately i seem to be turning into a real miserable sod and cant even enjoy the good win last night, i look for the negatives im afraid instead of the positives, so i apologize for my negativity last night..i really need to lighten up..
30 Oct 2026 08:22:43
One game Bp with players we have all been waiting to see. Let's see what Mondays team is before we all get to excited eh.
30 Oct 2026 10:46:41
Whos getting excited we won a game but it would be nice to see the so called supporters write a positive post as they do when its something negative, seems everyone loves to slate the team, the manager or certain players, but haven't the steal to say well done played well tonight, he played well ect ect.
29 Oct 2026 20:38:23
Tell you what that Hackney lad looks decent. Where's he been?
Agree0
Disagree0
29 Oct 2026 21:07:55
He's been great. Moyes needs to sub him off now as he might get a red if not.
29 Oct 2026 21:44:38
Amazing what can happen when you start your best players. Bet he changes it for monday.
29 Oct 2026 23:27:36
He was the standout player in preseason so I don't understand why Moyes hasn't played him much. He certainly changed the game against United.
Hope he plays him Monday and we can pick up 3 much needed points.
29 Oct 2026 19:06:45
Grealish not playing because of breach of club discipline. Makes you wonder what goes on in his head? Rumour that he didn't turn up for training? We need him big time and he does this! What does everyone think?
Agree0
Disagree0
29 Oct 2026 19:14:08
Makes you wonder why city don't want him.
29 Oct 2026 19:14:03
He's an idiot and we should never have brought him to the club, yet another stupid mistake by the club,
{Ed025's Note - we all knew he was an accident waiting to happen Skylark, he has and always will be a loose cannon mate, a very talented one of course but just like Gazza before him the self destruct button is never far away..
29 Oct 2026 19:33:50
Life in the fast lane with him, with Jack in the Team we are a better side.
29 Oct 2026 19:35:18
I never wanted him In the first place, total waste of money and vastly overpaid with that, I would get shut ASAP if we could.
29 Oct 2026 20:36:34
Looks like we don't need Grealish after all.
{Ed025's Note - 2 poor teams for me Penysarn but im grateful for the win mate..
29 Oct 2026 20:59:24
Sorry GB got to disagree, we are not a better team with grealish in, we are to slow and predictable.
{Ed025's Note - some of our team were terrible, Dibbling 1/10, Barry 3/10..1 for the assist and 2 for his goal, Rohl 3/10...must have been taking photo,s of their wingers, the likes of Hackney, Tarks, Myko and KDH carried that team tonight, Fleetwood will be rubbing their hands at facing us..
29 Oct 2026 22:15:07
Grealish is an Everton player, and has been fantastic with the fans and the community since he came in. He is a maverick, and they come with baggage, I'd back him to come back and prove a point on Monday. How many mistakes has he made for us? Have you made any? Or we could all just pile on as we always do on here.
{Ed025's Note - he is a maverick JB, but walks into this Everton side every week..
29 Oct 2026 22:30:50
So you watch dibling tonight and you see why moyes is loathe to start him. I would play Grealish left and George right but we all know Moyes will play Johnson on Monday.
Rohl best I can say is he is better than Maitland-Niles in the RB. Having said that, a win is a win poor teams or not. Hackney is a must to start, his first thought is get it forward.
{Ed025's Note - spot on DMS..
29 Oct 2026 23:03:54
With you there DMS. Rohl has plenty of room to improve. Maybe Garner at RB for now with Hackney and Armstrong in the middle. At least we have options now, been a while since that was the case.
30 Oct 2026 05:32:17
Yep DMS good shout mate.
30 Oct 2026 00:28:41
One isolated incident and people are judging him harshly. Do we know the details of what he has done? He has been great for us and the Everton community, all that work can't be undone with a single incident, whatever that is. If he repeats whatever he's done then that is cause for concern.
{Ed025's Note - the thing is BP we need the guy, love him or loathe him he brings quality to the side and with our shortage of depth and skill levels he is very much needed mate..
30 Oct 2026 08:26:36
One isolated incident really? There's a reason City don't want the guy. And for what we are paying him he's taking the piss.
{Ed025's Note - unfortunately BMD we are not in a position where we can just say freeze him out or send him back to City, we need him because our squad is so thin and cutting your nose off to spite your face is just not an option mate..
