Just watching the Arsenal Watford match and have to say the results yesterday and today so far have been really good to us, along with our win yesterday all of a sudden the outlook is rosy, almost safe a couple more points just to make sure, and one of the biggest decisions for Mr Moshiri will have this summer will be whether to hold on to Big Sam or not, i personally think there will be a new man brought in, same result next week lads please.

I am feeling the same way, but who would be the right man, I no this fonseca sorry about spelling, but he's another with no premier experience, I would like someone who knows the league, personally the one who stands out is Benitez for me, then Silva, I think Silva could be good and we have seen what he can do, I think once he said he wanted to come to us he lost the dressing room and results at Watford started to drop, Benitez has what it takes and has been a top manager and think given the chance would drop Newcastle with everything that's going on there,

Dont want to get too carried away. We need an away win next week to show we are moving in the right direction. Stoke are poor so a win is what should expected with a more balanced side.
A home win against a poor Brighton was much needed.

Can’t see why we would even consider keeping him based on one game. A game it has to be said was still poor, and no where near the level we should be at. As for new manager, I just want someone who has a winning mentality, and is not scared to play attacking football. Oh and that’s not Sam.

Dare I say Enrique or Simeone, i know just dreaming but would be perfect.

{Ed002's Note - Zero chance.}

I think the damage is done Woburn. Even if he beats city and the RS he would struggle to win back the fans.

11 Mar 2018 19:22:30
I know Ed only dreaming mate.

11 Mar 2018 19:38:22
Trouble is fellas like it or not Big Sam was brought in to do a job, and that was primarily to save us from the drop, and he has done exactly that, and I am sure Mr Moshiri will also see it like that, i don't think he will rush into sacking anyone, only my opinion though.

{Ed025's Note - it does seem like job done GB, thank the guy for his services and move on i say mate..

11 Mar 2018 19:44:15
Totally agree ed, he did what was asked, shake his hand, give him the big fat check he's happy we are happy, then get the new guy in.

{Ed025's Note - exactly simon..

11 Mar 2018 19:45:03
Think you are right mate, i would agree with that.

11 Mar 2018 20:43:15
Wenger or Rafa would be good choices, but I am still not convinced S.A. will lose his job before December.

11 Mar 2018 20:58:27
I can't see Moshiri wanting to find another manager part way through a season. The decision in the summer will be for the rest of next season, Allardyce or not?
And I honestly don't think he will want to watch another season of the dross being served up.

11 Mar 2018 22:16:21
I can only hope your right Smit.

I am not saying that Sam should go or stay. But I would point out that 2 of our best recent signings are Walcott and potentially Tosun (although time will tell more on him) . Half of the players that Martinez signed have already been moved on. The rest look bang average (although Lukaku was a class signing) . Most of Koeman's signings have just not worked out well at all when you consider the amount of money he splashed out. Most was on established players for both Martinez and Koeman. eg Williams, Keane, Cleverley, Klaasen, Schneiderlin, Bolasie. Add to this, players who maybe were not established but we expected big things from: Besic, Vlasic, Niasse. Yes I would say most are ok players. but not ones to set the world alight. Sam Allergy might not be the guy for us. I accept that. but looking at players we have signed in the last 5 or so years and our record is poor. At least Walcott looks class and from what I have seen of Tosun, I think there is more to come. and they are big Sam signings.

Spot on degsy mat.

12 Mar 2018 11:40:24
Thing is degsy, regardless of Sam being manager we still would have signed Walcott and Tosun as Steve Walsh the DoF is responsible for recruitment not Fatman Sam.

12 Mar 2018 12:01:14
I'd have Barry the manager at the local Nisa over Sam next season.

There was a poll mentioned on talk sport yesterday from another site (Can't remember which one) and 95% wanted Fat Sam out.

If the club want to fill a 60k stadium then Moshiri will know it has to be without Sam. Otherwise he can save himself a few bob a build a stadium half the size.

12 Mar 2018 12:12:56
You guys might well be right with your opinions about Sam. like I said, I am in the middle. but I do feel he is being blamed for previous mistakes. and one thing that really does bother me is that I know that sometimes a change of manager does sometimes give a club a boost and upturn in results temporarily, but I also know that clubs that hire and fire and make many changes in a short period of time tend to end up in the Championship. If we sack Sam and get another in at the end of the season, that will be: Moyes, Martinez, Koeman, Allardyce and another in about 6 year time span. Look at other clubs who have done that!

12 Mar 2018 19:52:00
If you've made a massive mistake and then continue with that mistake then it doesn't fix anything Degsy.

This next appointment has to be the right one. Hopefully, this one will be one made with careful consideration and thorough analysis rather that a frozen panic decision.

12 Mar 2018 21:13:16
We have only employed 4 managers in 16 years maybe soon to be 5, we're not exactly trigger happy. Yet!

If Allardyce wanted a long term project he should have insisted on a 3 to 5 year contract or walked away.

Personally I think all parties entered into this appointment with the realisation it could be a short term fix.

12 Mar 2018 23:20:08
I think that's spot on Smit.
