Not a fan of Dyche, but, think we all owe him a debt of thanks, he has, under the most extreme difficulties, saved our club from
disaster.
Is he the man to take us forward,? I don't know, but if he wants to, and is able to do so, without his hands being tired behind his back in a financial seance, then I think he has earned the chance.

Spot on intheblue. Echoed those sentiments myself. ?.

Add to that intheblue. Majority on here asked for stability at the beginning of the season, now they want to rock the boat further after the guy has done his remit. Not pretty no, effective yes.

2nd most clean sheets in league, decent top4-10 XG all season and fought off the PTS deductions we would have been challenging 12th-10th finish.

Next season could potentially be worse for charges and squad strength yet people think we are going to be a attractive proposition for any up and coming manager or player, throw them in deep end hey.

Think patience and reality check very much needed at times, we are far out of the woods as a club, stability was asked for, stability is needed imo.

The fact that we are safe in April having had 8 points deducted is quite something and they way the team have responded since Chelsea is very pleasing indeed - SD clearly had the players behind him.

The problem is that it’s not great to watch and when we’re bad we’re awful and the team are clearly a form team, some dreadful runs followed by some exceptional ones.

We will probably be much weaker next year if Branthwaite and Onana go and there’s no guarantee of any money to replace them.

It’s tough being an Evertonian, but it’s great!

We would be insane to let dyche go nobody else would get that current team playing and winning our last 3 young upcoming managers are why we are where we are . imagine lampard silva or kooman still here we would be well gone by now Tracky Dyche is the man.

28 Apr 2024 19:01:55
I absolutely appreciate what he has done. Of course until our financial state is stablised we are not attractive. Stadium is key. Get that and takeover sorted, then we can (if still muted) address do we need a Dyche to lead us forward.

28 Apr 2024 19:10:45
You know three games ago everyone was for binning Dyche, how times change ?.

28 Apr 2024 20:38:45
I still am ?.

He implied recently that the job he was sold hasn’t really been the same as what has happened. I read into that the transfer choices and all the finances malarkey that has resulted in point deductions. He’s done well with what he has and it could get a lot worse than better in the next 12 months. His style of football is not our future but until we can afford to get in better, we are stuck with Dycheball for at least another season. Let’s hope he can get us finishing higher than 15th.

So he’s saying he wouldn’t have signed that massive contract and taken the job on if he’d known different. Yea because clubs were queuing up for him weren’t they.

29 Apr 2024 08:43:00
I think he's saying exactly what the majority of managers that went before him have also alluded to. That the job description was different to the actual reality of the situation.
Now that safety is assured, let's hope the club is sold very soon so we don't have to put up with FM too much longer. I'm hoping 777 get sacked off and other interested parties can come to the table. Not too much to ask!

On reflection emotion (plus major surgery) played a huge part in criticism of players and Sean Dyche. I don't think any of us fully understand the pressures the staff have been and continue to be under. Certainly we don't fully understand the financial pressures and mess caused by those supposedly having the best interests of the Club at heart. So I apologise for some of my rants and do actually think Sean Dyche deserves to stay, still a huge huge job to do in prep for next season with a massive exodus of players envisaged, we are having to trust in our youth.

Not for me. Take away our last three wins and think how long did we go without a win?
This guy had a preseason and a full season with these players, and we’re measuring them on the last three games.
We stayed up because three teams below us are shocking, that might not happen next season.
