To be honest Elvis/ Mocker, I read the Echoreport on Ademols’s performance and reflecting on his performances at Everton. It was a total load of crap!
I posted at the time when both DCL and Lookman, were trying to break into the first team, which Ed 25 may recall, that both were players and deserved a run of games, which garnered a lot of criticism.
It’s meaningless now but for the record Lookman had a run of four games ending in the defeat to Millwall in the FA Cup and on each occasion he was man of the match, then he was dropped.
During big Sam’s brief reign he was brought on in the second half, in the Derby match at Anfield, and totally terrorised the Liverpool defence with his direct running and ball skills.
Our scouting and recruitment system is extremely poor. Wharton from Blackburn is another great prospect who we chose to ignore, but within his first EPL season with Palace has seen his value increase 300% and force his way into Southgate’s provisional Euro squad.

Actually watched the game myself Fancy and none of the reports, are you saying the Echo thought he was "crap" on the night or was that your view?
He took his goals extremely well and carried a threat throughout, the lads always had the talent but as Ed eluded to in another post poor attitude, he has aged and looks to be in a good place and team that suits and a manager that has taken his game to another level. Fair play to him and them.
On Wharton totally agree posted same myself and at the time we were strongly linked to him. Let's hope we can find another.

No Mocker, I wasn’t referring to tha Atalanta game purely the Echo’s recollection of his time at our club which stated the goal he scored in the 4-0 win against Man City was his only contribution and was overshadowed by Davies goal.
I rated both him and DCL early doors and it’s such a shame and waste of money when our scouts and DoF ignore the likes and vast potential of Wharton in favour of Beto.

Yeah I agree with you in regards Echo pal But Lookmans attitude was his downfall like so many youngsters, he has matured now and seems to be showing his undeniable talent.
After admit I was like a lot on here delighted when we got Beto and expected him to flourish, will hold off full judgement until gets a proper run of games and ideally a team that plays to his strengths, could be a 2nd season syndrome with him, we also probably didn't have the upfront money for Wharton as Beto's deal was structured to start payment this summer, but yes in hindsight £18m or so for Wharton or £26mfor Beto is a no brainer currently albeit different positions, not totally ruling Beto out tho if that is he actually stays with us, but regardless you are bang on our scouting system needs to earn their crust and as a club we need to act more swiftly and not Delly dally if possible.

No albi, you've got it wrong there. He wanted to go on a parade around Liverpool with a massive banner draped over a bus telling you deluded reds that you lost the league at Goodison Park. Hope that clears the rumour up for you ???.
