One minute we're having to sack the tea lady to keep the lights on, the next, we're considering a 25mill bid for a 19 year old Brazilian wonder kid.
Please could somebody come out and give us some straight answers. I do understand if some delicate talks are taking place, and big money is involved, but just for example, do we have to make a major sale to avoid another FFP charge ?

If you think that we could get £100m for 3 players, Branthwaite, DCL and Onana, then spend some on players when we owe Mushiri £450m and 777 £200m then sorry to disappoint.
We’re stuck with free transfers and Championship players, as well as our own young players coming through.

The press need to print stories to ensure they generate income. They don’t care about straight answers they just care about people reading the content, whether it’s true or not (and why should they care, good luck to ‘em) . All we can do is shut out the noise and wait until players actually sign contracts.
