Dendonker from Villa be mentioned in a move to us.

Not sure on this one GB. Maybe 18 months or so back it would be a sensible deal but I think the lad has fallen off the last couple of seasons. He is 29 now and I imagine they will still ask for a few mill, given they paid approx 12 for him from Wolves.

He can play a fair few positions though so it would make sense in that regard mate. What are your thoughts?

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 19:15:45
Yep my thoughts mate his football has dropped right off the scale, not so sure he’s any improvement on what we have, if we get him on a free maybe.

Agree0 0Disagree

21 May 2024 19:22:25
At the right price, wages I would take him. Simple fact is our squad will need a lot of cheap filler next season, and a lot of it will probably be a straight swap for anyone we can get rid of. Gomes/ Onana have to go, so Dendonker plus a young hopeful would be a reasonable replacement in our price bracket.

Has anyone seen much of that Kasey McAteer this season?

Right-sided midfielder, who can also play no10 or on the left. Think signing players who can cover multiple positions is the way to go but not seen hi play myself.

Been decent in the championship when I have watched Leicester is he a free transfer? Ndidi is a player i would sign from Leicester and he is a free transfer.

21 May 2024 19:46:28
Not sure Ron, he is out of contract 2025, so suspect he won't cost much if he is refusing to sign new terms.

{Ed025's Note - i suspect the main criteria will be wages BN, that is an ongoing expense that we can ill afford mate, we may lose out on some very good frees because of it but needs must i suppose..

Nice to see Branthwaite in the initial England squad. Hopefully he goes to the euros. If nothing else it will boost his value for the imminent enquiries for his availability!

Yep for sure mate.

21 May 2024 14:53:28
Depressing as it is the Euros is at best, Branthwaites chance to secure the transfer he wants. doesn't matter if he wants to stay, he is going and I think he knows it. He now need to dowhats right for him and therefore Everton, play his socks off this summer and show why we all know he is worth 100m.

21 May 2024 15:20:16
Unfortunately, I think he may go before the tourney as we need to sort the latest set of accounts.

I was pondering on this the other day. I am not sure which one I would rather go before June, out of Jared or Onana.

If Southgate's previous approach is anything to go off, it is highly unlikely that Jared plays ahead of Stones and Maguire. Let's face it, he played Dunk and Konsa over handing him his much deserved debut in the last round of friendlies.

Personally, I think it is more likely that Onana increases his value/ interest over the summer than Jared, certainly when you consider that European teams are after Onana. I think the PL sides already know what potential Jared holds, whether he plays this summer or not. A young, big, strong, quick, left/ both-footed centre half. Not many of those about, certainly not any that have Jared's attributes and have already played a full season in the rigours of the PL.

It has been fun peeps quite a good site this but at times been far and away from a banter/ rumours forum and more argumentative with insults and abuse thrown (not just from the punters) . Everything comes to an end, however should I ever be asked I would recommend it.

{Ed025's Note - its hard to be upbeat when your club is in such a mess DFS, there is still some good banter and interesting posts mate and you take from it what you will i suppose, there is also nothing wrong with taking a break or flitting in and out at times if that suits, but if its not for you thats fine and i wish you well..

DFS I understand your feelings and I'm very similar. I read daily on here but I don't get as involved as I used to. Not really because of here but because of the stress of Everton.

I'd miss you on here though mate as you tend to see some things different to me. And whereas I don't necessarily agree, there's many times your point of view has made me reconsider.

21 May 2024 00:18:02
I would second that BlueJohnUns. Take a good break DFS, enjoy the forthcoming euros and sunshine, and come back recharged.

Good luck to you DFS. I totally understand where you are coming from and you don't see me as much these days

Take care and enjoy your break. I say break as I hope to see you here again soon.

If we all shared the same point of view it would be dull here, yes sometimes it can go over the line but I think I've said it before, the written words interpretation is dependant on the reader, eds do a fantastic job of keeping it clean here, and the never ending cycle of explaining stuff which must feel like brushing water uphill,
Enjoy reading posts here thanks to all who contributed over the years past and present.

Take it from me, you won't give up on the site. You'll be regularly checking in and reading, but once you've learned to resist the urge to respond to the triggering posts, it becomes incredibly pleasant.
I pretty much never post anymore, the onfield/ ownership situation is too draining so I don't wish to contribute yet more negativity, but as a source of valid, informative insight from the Eds, it's impossible to be beaten.

Adebayo fron Luton just the type of player for us.

20 May 2024 16:34:17
Surely would only be signing him as a replacement for DCL as he’s a similar type of player?

Given Dyche has no plan B, substituting like for like might be right up his street.

Ashley Young has been a great player in his time, but please, that time has clearly past, as proven by today's performance, before he let's us down again and embarrasses himself even further its time for him to hang up his boots, and for SD to tell him times up.

Richard Masters has apparently said, he cannot tell an owner who to sell his club to, and, on the surface, this is correct, but he can tell an owner who he cannot sell his club to, via the fit and proper persons restrictions, and if he cannot see that this applies to 777 group, he is even more incompetent than any of us could imagine .

EFL SIGNINGS FOR LEEDS UNITED

{Ed's Note - Dillinger has posted a new article entitled, EFL SIGNINGS FOR LEEDS UNITED

Agree0 0Disagree

20 May 2024 04:08:11
This one is controversial I know but.
If ManUtd want Braithwaite, how would we feel if it was £30 million plus Mason Greenwood?
Obviously he would be a deeply divisive signing but if he banged in 20 league goals would we all ignore what a horrible young man he is?

The majority here would be happy for a questionable state to buy us from FM so what's the difference?

Agree1 0Disagree

20 May 2024 06:43:48
Not in a million years.

Even ignoring his personal issues, 8 goals for Getafe doesn't scream 20 goals for Everton.

20 May 2024 10:17:06
Not for me.

20 May 2024 11:52:21
Also WT that is personal opinion. Legally he has done nothing wrong. Same as a certain player we had, career destroyed and what happened? I will go on facts/ stats, EFCONE makes a good point. Knowing (I don't really) us will probably offer him a fat contract, Dyche will not like him, so another one sitting on his bum thankyou very much.

20 May 2024 11:52:56
What an awful post. Being a father of 2 girls and having seen the video I find the idea disgusting. You simply can't compare the two. It would make us look even worse if that's possible and a circus every week.

We need the money so must get as much as we can for Branthwaite. £30m in this market is laughable. Even £50 plus Greenwood (who I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole) wouldn’t be enough.

Once again VAR but it's the people that run it we were done here today, we played well and full credit to the Team, bar that dopey pass from Young of course.

We moan like anything as do Managers but I bet the Clubs keep VAR after the vote.

19 May 2024 21:34:16
I think they have to dfs; it’s the future! Problem is: it’s used in a way that makes no sense.

Surely, you stick with the ref’s decision unless VAR see’s something otherwise. Do offside from the furthest foot forward. Goal line tech seems to be fine. As for handball, play it at real time and see if it changes the outcome of the passage of play.

Today should have been simple but the ref went against the evidence. Oh well. On to next season.

Agree0 0Disagree

19 May 2024 20:54:07
Yep I reckon VAR will stay.

Agree0 0Disagree

20 May 2024 12:04:26
hardly a mention about the handball, if city had lost do you think it would still of been ignored.

No because it would have been handball.
