I think it's just clickbait nonsense. We all love Pickford of course, and yes he'd be great for Chelsea if he was there. But they have a very good keeper in Dorde Petrovic, only 24 so plenty of time to substantially improve. Robert Sanchez as a fantastic backup option, who is himself only 26. It makes no sense at all to ditch these 2 GKs for a 30 year old.

If it was true, it would just be more evidence of a lack of planning and bad recruitment. He was available for free last season.
