Can't 4 the life of me see what Martinez saw in mcgeady, what does he actually give the team.
He's had 12 months @ Goodison now & a taste of premier league football.
Gave the ball away cheaply on the edge of our penalty area @ Newcasle who were gift wrapped 3 easy points.
Doesn't beat defenders & get crosses in 4 lukaku to feed off.
When a move breaks down he doesn't track back & help his team mates win the ball.
Don't think he's played a full 90 mins & thankfully he can't play against WBA due to suspension.
He's a liability in my opinion & along with Rod belfit, Brett angel, Kokdrop, keeley has to go down as one of the worst players ever to wear the jersey.
I assume he's getting in the team because mirallas is still feeling effects of his injury.
Hope to God he doesn't play in the Derby because we can't afford to carry passengers & fill the space when he goes missing.

I think his confidence is shot at the moment for some reason - he sees he's making mistakes so he doesn't try normal things in cases he loses it but his lack of confidence makes it worse - he actually can get past people when he does his step over thing but he's not trying it much now in case he loses possession - he needs a big dose of confidence to play his normal game and try things again - he can't go on playing within himself as that just makes it worse

It could just be that McGeady isn't suited to the way we currently play our game the guys got pace but do we put balls in front of him to out run the defence er no! if you look at all our other wide players with the exception of Kev we don't really have pace and therefore play shorter 1-2's to get past the defence. I am no making excuses for him as he should be good enough to play either way but it may explain why he looks like his confidence is shot. unlike some I do think he has puts a shift in the last couple of games and started to look better massive room for improvement though.
