Frank had a great chance to save himself tonight by starting with two up front instead of McNeil on the wing, and playing Price instead of Davies.
This has often been the downfall of most of our managers. Keeping faith with the same players who week on week let you down.
Brighton had an 18 year old striker playing tonight and he destroyed us.
We have good young players, but their overlooked for players who either don't give a toss, or are just not good enough.
This is why we will be looking for yet another manager. And it goes on and on and on.

He’s no Balls.

Spot on BB. Need to play 2 up front when at home.

I disagree… we don’t have “good young players”, we have nothing, we haven’t produced a half decent “youngster” for years!
Gordon, Simms, Dobbin, Warrington, Price… nowhere near 1st team players in the current premier league and what’s even worse is that they are probably better than most of our first team.
Apart from Pickford, I would get rid of the lot of them.

How can you say that when they have never been given a chance, and coming on for the last ten minutes doesn't count.
Just what exactly do you base your statement on?

03 Jan 2023 22:48:44
Commenting about the young players. Simms just showed why he is never going to be a top flight player (maybe Scotland) he can't run. I think I'd put my house on Rondon in a race. You can't be immobile in the EPL.
As for the rest of this disaster, I really have to admit to bursting out with laughter once they scored their 3rd. 5 years of blind optimism has finally fully disappeared. I wrote earlier that FL was due some more time and had to have another 2 windows before he could be judged. That's not going to happen now and frankly Frank, I think you have made my mind up an it's time to go. I don't care anymore and I have zero idea who can come and do better. As we have some unremarkable players and so many of them that it'd take even a non FFP threatened business with all the riches at least 3 years to buy us out of this, we may as well go blood and thunder and get Big Duncan in. He won't stand for too many of these lacklustre performances. 4 4 2 hard tackling, hard runnin direct football. I'd much rather he came and gave us a spirit and identity and as he proved in his brief spell, he will swing the axe. There won't be any favourites. Maybe the sensible thing isn't a knee jerk reaction, and we keep FL and the club really pulls off a window revolution? Either way I will be devastated if the clowns appoint Big (I'd give that 20 minutes if I was you) Sam or the Dyche baffoon. If it is to be a robust appointment then its Big Duncan for me.

What do you base yours on Brass? You've just said yourself that you've never seen them play really in the prem. A procession of managers, including the current one who has a reputation for giving youth a chance, have seen our youngsters in training day in day out and deemed them not good enough.

03 Jan 2023 22:54:38
The fact that they are not good enough.

03 Jan 2023 23:05:42
seen maupay play in the prem is he all that aswell one goal in 16 games and some people think are kids are not better makes me laugh we won't know if they are good enough unless they get giving the chance they would put more of an effort in than what i seen from that 11 tonight that's a fact.

03 Jan 2023 23:08:15
Exactly what ToffeeDavey said!

03 Jan 2023 23:46:14
Let’s not bother with youngsters eh. Unless of course it’s just to loan them out.
If our first team were performing well then maybe I would agree there not ready. However, I am sure you would get a greater effort from them than the dross playing now. And I may be mistaken, but wasn’t Price player of the tournament out in Australia?
BB is right get them on and let them play.

Sorry Brownshoes but Big Dunc doesn't cut it for me

Well into his 50's and hasn't yet managed a side apart from a couple of games for us. A 2 or 3 game run doesn't make a manager

He's either too scared to take a managerial role or the recruiters don't see him as good enough. Either way I don't want us to be the ones gambling on him.

the thing i find ammusing is lampard said after game we had good few chances we played well the first 10 minutes of match then we was lost for 80 mins his late subs and tactics are costing us and costing his job i have just ran out words to describe how i feel don't mind getting beat if the oppisition is better to concede 3 goals in 5 minutes is embarresing.
