I really do hope that our reported interest in Ferguson is just click bait.
This man had one great breakout season three years ago, since then his home club, and those who have had him on loan, have all reached the same conclusion, thanks, but, NO THANKS, The last thing we need is another miss firering striker, who has proved hopeless in front of goal.

The need, is for a proven goal scorer, and yes it will come at a big price, but the price of not doing so, could be missing out on a European place .

Scored a couple last night I think. Looked a prospect a couple of years ago. Could Moyes get a tune out of him?

His second goal v celtic showed a great first touch and control something we are badly lacking up front.

I would take him on loan definitely a cracking player in there just needs the right manager to get him fireing again. It's a big yes from me.

Theres a long list of forgotten or overlooked players we taken a chance on in the past, they stepped onto our turf and we fell in love with them and they where no longer a who and became fan favourites.

His ability is far better than the two lads we have. If he doesn't score goals, it is not like we would be any worse off with our lads having 1 each this season.

Ronmac - not sure it’s a change of manager he needs.
Unfortunately he’s got a terrible injury record - not something a manager can fix. He’s also not really kicked on from his break out season.

Before last night he’d scored 1 in 14 for Roma - which is hardly great.

Personally would rather stick with what we have than take a chance on another injury plagued player.

Fairshout good each to there own i would take the Gamble he is a finisher when given the chances infront of goal. but like you say not a great injury record which i didn't realise. just presumed the managers didn't play him because he might be lazy in training or something and he has grown up abit. do you know how many of them 14 games he has started by any chance? I just go off when I have watched players and not Google.

He definitely has quality but it's getting it on a regular basis i guess and suppose a manager can only do so much for the player. I just think he would be worth the Gamble. End of the day we probably aren't even looking at him.

Well if we do get anyone in let’s hope it’s done early, and not last minute. oh and hopefully they are ready to start straight away, that would help.

A draw would be a decent result. They’re really not as bad as people are making out.

0-0. Hoping we get a draw. Think we are more likely to surprise Arsenal at home as the wheels come off their title challenge and City sweep past them.

Unbelievable. £3k for a ticket to the final as a starting price!

Football is no longer for the masses. Disgusting.

Infantino on something like 2.5 mill plus 1.8 mill annual bonus plus houses and kids education paid for plus expenses. Blatter thought himself an actual President, this fella also.

These international tournaments have been the same for the last 20 years, it's no real surprise the cost of a ticket really. Even the champions league shows contempt for fans with how much they charge for the final.

I see radom click baits saying that tarks could receive some sort of punishment for what happened against forest, no other team would this happen to, it always seems to be us there trying to derail any good work we do .
As for dyche, I gave him the benefit of the doubt as he got us out a sticky situation, but after his sly comments and making things worse than they were, he can do one and I hope he's found out for the crap manager he is , but when he's sacked i'm sure it won't be his fault.

Mark Clattenberg has been saying stuff on this. He reckons that no action will be taken but the club will get a reply from the PGMOL. Now when have we ever seen him get something wrong? 🤔.

Agree1

10 Dec 2025 21:13:02
Tarks was an idiot for what he did.

However most in the know regards rules of the game have come out and said if had been seen it would have been deemed a yellow card and nothing more.

Agree1

11 Dec 2025 12:31:16
Yellow if the ball was in play but it wasn’t. Tarkowski needs to cut this out, already given away a penalty this season for similar action.

I thought about this last season and may have even posted it at the time but I would make a move for Harry Wilson. Technically a very decent player and always puts up decent returns numbers-wise when he plays. He has never seemed to nail down regular starts at Fulham and he would provide great cover for a number of positions in those advanced midfield areas. Seems to be more trusted at international level and has 17 in 67 for a poor Wales side.

He has never played over half a season worth of PL games and it doesn't seem to be down to injuries but still manages around 10 goals or assists a season. Wouldn't cost too much and is still a decent age.

Only downside is that he used to be a Red.

{Ed001's Note - very lazy.}

Agree0

Never nailed down regular starts at Fulham - your comment - very lazy from Ed001! I would offer, being an ex Red is not the only downside.

Agree0

10 Dec 2025 14:39:51
Neville, Saha, Arteta, Pienaar didn't nail down regular starts for their respective clubs before moving to us and they turned out to perform well.

Appreciate Ed's insight on laziness though. I wasn't aware of that and wouldn't have expected him to have a sustained career as a PL player and International if it was the case.

Silva doesn't strike me as somebody who puts up with that and it seems he is being trusted more this season and it is paying off. 4 goals and 3 assists puts him on par with KDH, Ndiaye and Grealish in terms of output. Not too shabby at all.

Agree0

He is playing well this season.
