So, according to Sam Allardyce's own words in his press conference, he spoke with the chairman (that's Bill Kenwright, not Farhad Moshiri) and received an apology for the survey that was sent out. Wow! Does the gravy-guzzler's arrogance know no bounds? Does Kenwright have no self-respect or understanding of the fans' feelings and no grip of the leadership our club desperately needs? Does no one in our club actually speak with anyone else before issuing surveys or redesigning badges or making club announcements? Our club is being run by a bunch of cowboys!
I quite liked Bill Kenwright - despite the criticism from many fans about his inability to take Everton forward - but if he really did apologise on this occasion, then that's the tipping point as far as I'm concerned.
The sooner Allardyce leaves the better as far as I'm concerned - but I fear that he will remain for next season and all the speculation about a new manager and a new DoF are just meaningless hot air. The current silence from the club is deafening.
If Moshiri does not wrestle total control from the current hierarchy (Kenwright, etc) , then I fear we'll never challenge to be a "big" club again. Also, it's absolutely vital imho that Moshiri gets sound advice from the right people and he ditches the old-school of self-serving no-hopers who see him as as an easy touch for fees and commissions on footballing matters. (I still believe that he's personally sound on non-footballing business matters. )
How soon before the fans become really vocal and the Goodison atmosphere becomes as toxic as it finally was for Martinez - and was becoming for Koeman?
I expect nothing but loyalty and support from the fans when we play NUFC, but I can foresee a lot of discontent if the team serves up another pathetic Allardyce-designed performance. Win, lose or draw, his post-match comments will be as cringeworthy as always and the fans' post-match fume will be ferocious.
So, fellow fans, is there any hope for our club OR are we another former "big" club that has been mismanaged to a point where we've settled for mediocrity (or worse! ) and are content just to stay in the Premier League for the money?
Our history does NOT entitle us to anything - we have to work on and off the field to improve - but we must aim for glory or what's the bloody point?

{Ed0333's Note - I truly feel your pain mate. Your in exactly the same situation as we were in with Roy Hodgson. My antipathy towards our manager was so profound you can’t imagine. The silver lining is that crappy managers don’t stay long but while they are here it’s excrutiating. I very much doubt Sam Allardyce will be given one of the most seminal transfer budgets in your history. It would be more prudent to pay off your baboon of a manager than for him to squander million of pounds in the summer.

As an outsider looking in, all I could see with the Roy thing was: LFC fans too proud to crucify King K and blame all his atrocious work on the next manager. Roy.

I know none LFC fans were laughing at the joke that was KK return and then slightly sympathetic to the flack Roy was getting.

I don't know many (except some LFC mates who love that we've got BS) football fans who think we've given BS too harsh a time.
I've never had so much stick from my mates as I have this season.

I'm not saying Roy was the right fit but KK splurged money on rubbish and then buggered off. Back 5o the history books he should never have left.
