Apologies this is a wee bit long winded💨

Martinez first season in charge I have to admit I was one of those that couldn't get enough of him and the exciting football we were playing, and because he took us beyond any expectations we had - most thought we were going to struggle last season and we never.

This season I admit I've been one of those quick to jump on the band wagon, turning hater to say the least, however if you make comparisons to them across the park an look at what their muppet has spent, in reality were not doing so bad,
I believe a few astute signings would get us back to the heights of last season,
Roberto's had a proper blip with us this season but hasn't spent a fraction of what there clown has,
I know the figures bellow will not be entirely correct - I've plucked them from the tinter-web but they won't be that far out - it just makes you think

Now I know people are going to love to correct me, but on those comparisons I'm not sure anyone can say we're doing so bad, get some of that TV cash spent and with a bit of luck next season we'll be knocking on the door again.

{Ed025's Note - very thorough job there baz, of course some will say who cares what the dark side do, but for me its a good comparison between the haves and have nots..

Agree1 Disagree1

There's one other crucial difference Baz. Plenty of our fans want Rodgers out for being 5th. Your lot hailed Martinez as the messiah for that last year.
Except that this year he was a fraud, though is he now?
No, seems he's back to being acceptable again but you'll maybe hang fire on that one until November next season.
Aye right.

{Ed025's Note - to be fair juicer both sets of fans are very fickle (me included), when things are going well and our teams are winning games our managers are the best thing since sliced bread, last season when you had the chance to win the league bren had a halo hovering above his head which has now been replaced by horns, and the same can be said of roberto, our only saving grace is that our fraud has not bankrupt us mate.. :)

That's true Ed, though with the big cash coming in the haves and have nots are all going to be able to do proper business, we wait in anticipation for Bill to show his true colours, there will be no defence.

{Ed025's Note - i hope there will be a defence baz...or we will ship some goals mate.. :)

30 Apr 2015 16:53:38
Ed is right I don't really care about the dark side but you are making a very valid point RM/BK have been quite frugal with the cash. IMO they have also bought well with Kone being the one bad buy. For me this season has been totally weird it looked like we were in real trouble at one stage but since we have been knocked out of the EL we've been on a good run and will probably finish the season in the top half. one thing is for sure the season has been phenomenally frustrating.

{Ed025's Note - it certainly has sa mate..

Juicier, your right to be fair, but have a little think back to when palace walloped you

30 Apr 2015 18:20:36
Gerrard slipped

30 Apr 2015 19:08:56
For a club with a church in the ground, you should beware of false prophets ed.

{Ed025's Note - we seem more interested in profits than prophets juicer.. :)

30 Apr 2015 19:29:32
Haha, talking of which. Good job you never went with Tesco's, they might have had to shut your ground after their last financial results 😁

{Ed025's Note - every little helps mate.. :)
