edd025 is it a fair assessment of our board that their ambition for us now is just to stay in the premier league and as soon as our players value is met by other clubs we sell off the family jewels and if so have you heard anything behind the scenes of any possible buyer or new investment in the club as everyone around us seems to be moving forward and we seem to be running in treacle

This statemet is based on what? We haven't sold anyone recently who we didn't want to. If we do sell Stones it will be for an inflated price or because he wants to go.

and if he does go can you honestly see our board re-investing all or most of the transfer fee on new players or is it more likely martinez will get around 5 mil of the eventual transfer fee

Selling Stones would cause massive unrest amongst the fans, unless he handed in a transfer request. The board would have no choice but to give RM the majority of the proceeds to ward off a fan revolt, so 5m is a bit short to find a replacement Billy.
