We all look stupid now but not as stupid as Martinez and Everton Football Club. This has probably only been released today as we have no home game for a few weeks. This could trigger a backlash on the board if the fans don't blame Stones.

Joe, the thing is mate, the club are not the one's who have announced it. Stones had to wait 6 days, if he wants to leave then fair enough but making it public with 6 days to go? He has brought it upon himself.

Swan there have been chinese whispers that Stones handed in a transfer request 2-3 weeks ago. Martinez was mumbling and stuttering when asked about it last week (obvious now he was lying). We will probably never know the truth of when he asked to leave. I'm as gutted as you as I posted last night he's going nowhere. We need 2-3 marquee signings to appease the fans now. And your right 6days is a disgrace no matter if it is Stones, the board or both their faults.

Exactly ed but the lad is young and had his head turned by Mourino and the media and no doubt his agent we are running out of time he should of done this last week not on the eve of a game and 6 days left in the transfer market tell Chelsea we want the money by the morning or he is staying and then if they cough up go on a spending spree.
