kone plays for one the biggest clubs in the prem known world wide. naismith plays for little old norwich. SOMTHING IS DRASTICLY WRONG THERE.

Agree3 Disagree1

Only thing wrong is that neither are good enough for us. Problem is nobody wants Kone.

he was good enough when he batterd chelsea with a hatrick. there is more for naisy than not and I am one of them for.

{Ed025's Note - me too paul..

Kone scored a hatrick! As strikers there goal return is awful, especially in a team that makes so many chances.
Their is no doubt Naismith is a good guy, but 8.5mill for a 29 year old. That sounds like sound business to me. We need a goal scorer not a grafter, we have enough of them IMO.

{Ed025's Note - my only problem with that woburn is who plays up top if god forbid rom gets injured?...kone???....for me i would have liked a striker signed before we sell what i believe is our best option at the minute to lead the line mate..

18 Jan 2016 19:12:56
fair point woburn but who did kone score his hatric against. anyway mate I don't want to fall out with a fellow blue and I agree 8.5 for a 29yr old is brilliant bizz, the one thing about bill k is he is the master of getting a good wedge for are players everytime.

18 Jan 2016 19:51:39
BP don't get me wrong if I had to choose between the two I wouldn't pick Kone mate. Agree Ed we do need another striker in case of an injury to Rom. Just don't think Naisy was it. Would rather see Kev up top, at least he has pace.

Putting who the player is aside and looking at purely a business point of view. A player signed on a free and sold years later after doing his bit for £8m at 29 is very good business.

I like everyone love Naismith as a player and a human being. He's a star example to all other professional football players on how to remain grounded.

This transfer is for the benefit of everyone. Everyone wins. Everton for points above and Naismith for playing time which he definitely deserves.

Hope the money is used wisely. Striker has to be priority signing even above Keeper as we have Joel. Apart from Rom we have no one basically. Unless Rodriguez or McAleny impress greatly.

{Ed025's Note - good post that NBTB..
