. does anyone else think that Martinez is in the wrong type of job in football? I mean he has some good points - I. e. - he plays some lovely football, he's really good at developing and encouraging the younger players etc) but he has many negatives most notably the fact he cannot bloody defend and leaks far too many goals which ultimately can be at a cost of relegation. he couldn't at Wigan and can't at efc. I just wonder whether he would be best suited to a youth development coach or something along those lines? Some people I feel are suited to certain footballing jobs more than others. I mean take dear old Colin Harvey for example - he was a great no.2 but he couldn't cut it as a manager after Howard Kendall left. there are many other great no.2s I can think of that have never really made it as a manager like Steve Mclaran, Brian Kidd etc etc etc. just a thought here really. what does everyone else on here think?

Said it from the beginning and now others are seeing the same as me. Roberto is a coach that needs a Manager.

Yea Zackiii you have a fair point there. Seen somewhere the most goals scored against a team in the premiership and wasn't relegated was 78 goals at Wigan while Martinez was their which is worrying.

But Martinez is at Everton now and hopefully he learns while here how to get the balance between attacking and defending right. If he does he could turn into a top manager. He's here now so may as well give him a proper chance provided we don't get to close to the bottom of the table.

On a different note, Austin scored today, absolute steal at £4m. As long as he scores he's worth having.

Surprised to see you post NBTB. Thought you were getting married. Fair play though putting the Blues before the new missus.

Tied the knot yesterday. Lapping it up in Caribbean. Thank you to Mikeblue for the congratulations yesterday.

Only went to Caribbean once and was at a wedding with a load of Mancs. Day after was the 4-4 draw that probably cost them the title. Good day loads of sunshine, Mount Gay rum and giving out loads of stick.

Last time I went to Jamaica, got up at 6 in the morning to watch us get beat 3 nil by Liverpool at Goodison. Think it was the one were Dunc hit the bar with a free kick. Got over it quickly with a few strawberry daquiris at the swim up bar though and pretended it didn t happen.
