Really don't get the attraction of Koeman. He's managerial record is full of initial success followed by deteriation and sackings. Who does that sound like. and people have also said to me, look what he has done at Southampton. Yes he got sixth! Now who does that sound like? I also hear people going on about how we are being linked with mangers of his stature is a massive step up, we'll clearly he isn't! Honestly think our fans don't know how to aspire to greater ambition. Obviously it isn't the fans decision however it looks like our man in the hot seat is on board. As you can tell I'm very underwhelmed by this possibility if there is a variable I am missing please feel free to enlighten me.

Yes I looked up his full record an he seems to do well for a couple of years then it all goes pair shaped, so if we get him we should get rid of him in two years maybe.
That is why Emery did become my number one as his overall record is fantastic.
He does have one advantage over Emery, he has managed well in the prem and can handle top players leaving as that will happen ie Lukaku, Stones and maybe more. He also gives youth a chance so let's get behind him and hope it all works out, he has done well at Southamton.

Please enlighten us all on what we should aspiring to then? Who would your choice be?

Simeone, Emery, even de-boar all better prospects. When you say "us all" does that mean you speak for everyone I take it? Because I seem to remember this was the case when Martinez was appointed and now it "why did we appoint a manager who had just been relegated. Oh and I suppose Simeone is unrealistic for a club like us now too.

C'mon Smithy give the guy a break 'figure of speech' and so on.

Yes Simeone and like you say he is out of our reach, FDB?

Then Neil Lennon may have been a good prospect while he was riding high in the SPL!

Emery and Monchi was all the talk yesteday but that was yesterday!

As for the RM coming here I was dead against him he was a PL failure. . . 'fact' as they say!

Is RK a PL failure?

"Honestly think our fans don't know how to aspire to greater ambition"

"Our fans" does relate to us all? your words not mine! Pot Kettle Black?

Koeman - Prem experience and has done well for 2 seasons in a row now, safe pair of hands for me and a big enough name to attract decent players.

Simone - Does not speak English and this would be a massive disadvantage. He also turned the Russian Rubles so highly unlikely he would come to EFC

De-Boar - by all accounts RM in disguise, if you where so against RM I would assume you would know better. Maybe not eh

Emery - Would be my second choice.

What link do you make between de boar and RM? He's sucess at Ajax is considerably better than Koreans.

Koeman did well the past two seasons? Well let's sign him them! Are we signing a mangers on his recent form at Southampton really? He got sixth with limited assets! Explain how that's a step up from Moyes?

03 Jun 2016 14:08:40
If you think Koeman and Moyes are in the same mould you have just lost your argument mate.
And as you said he got sixth with limited assets whilst losing assets at the same time.

All these choices seem pretty good exept for De Boer who is another Martinez he would take us down I reckon.
I rate Koeman as being in the same class as Moyes which means I rate him highly.
He has one avantage over Moyes and that is he will not get stick from day one from the Evertonians with very very short memories.
Whoever gets the job will have a difficult start as RM has left us in a complete mess with no squad to talk about.
