That's brought us all down to earth and that's not a bad thing.
We've got to be more realistic, the players we have are top ten and no more.
Barley average, Lukaku going.
A lesson tonight squashes any thoughts of European football next season.
Top ten and new stadium is I'm afraid all we can look forward to.

Sorry Mushy. I fully disagree. Tonight all teams in the premier league would have been humiliated the way Chelsea played. Confidence is huge. We smashed Chelsea last year twice. Should have been 3 times. We are. still good enough to make Europe. We don't play Chelsea every week. One game does not make a season. And please get off Barkleys back. I though he and. Mirallas we're having. a. crack. jags, Mori, Oviedo, were all worse. Throw in Bolaise and Lukaku who were sooking it up and Cleverly what did he offer. Koeman will not accept this and don't be surprised if Holgate, Davies start next game with Jags and Cleverly on the line. Throw Bolaise there as. well.

All teams in the Premier league would have been humiliated? No they wouldn't because they wouldn't have sat back and made the opposition look good. They wouldn't have just kicked the ball anywhere, constantly giving the ball back to the opposition. We looked slow and clueless, and we have players in the side who are passed there best, have lost it or didn't have it in the first place. Look we are not going to win anything this season, but we won't get relegated either. So surely if we are going to move forwards then now is the time to dump the old brigade, and bring some much needed energy into the side.

Got to disagree Twoold2. We had a bad day play wise and played awful. It was the worse we played all season, but at the same time Chelski probably played better than they have all season.

Had we shown up like we did at city the result would of been a lot less humiliating I'm not saying we would of won but we would not of conceded 5 either.

When Chelski play like they did there are very few teams in Europe that would get a draw out of them let alone beat them. Sadly we played worse than a championship side.

Games like this happen in football and every single premiership teams have some players who are a little past their best and replacing them is no easy task. It is no secret the ambition our club has but what do we have to attract the world class younger players over to us? you have to remember every player we want are also wanted by at least one of the top 6 sides or another top European side. Once we get into Europe it will become easier to attract top players and when we get into the champions league it becomes easier again, until that time we have to perform at our best whenever we can, sadly as just proved we (like every other side) are unable to do it every game.

Totally agree with those that say Chelsea were just unstoppable last night, their form over the last five games puts them as favourites for the league for me, far better on the break than city etc. Add to that how poorly we performed and there was only ever going to be one outcome. There is no doubt we need new faces in, of a better quality than we already have, but that hasn't changed since the last window.
We got our manager in late, we got SW in too late to really have a go at recruiting the players we need. It's been mentioned on here many times that RK says it will take a few windows to get us where he wants us to be, we will get there no doubt. One defeat, a hiding at that, will not change his outlook, probably make him more determined to shake up the squad. It wasn't nice to lose in that manner but that result won't define our season. Chins up and keep faith blues.
