The way I see it is we had two big problems 1 we could not score for a toffee and 2 we can't defend well we scored 5 in the last two so if we can shut up shop and defend we are laughing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said billybob and Pierre at last a bit of positivity. I'm not saying unsworth is the answer but just give credit were credits due there's no guarantee a new manager could of done any better
The game against a decent Watford we came from 2.0 down to win for the first time in over twenty years, no one saying well done great comeback, rather moan we were 2.0 down.

Yes if we could shut up shop that would be great. Unsy can’t put a team out to do that though, and if he continues to have wingers who don’t support our aging or inexperienced full backs away from home then this won’t improve. I don’t get his tactics away from home at all. And the results show it. Yes play them at Goodison but be more compact on the road.

It does sound like I’m slating the team I admit, but the answers to our problems cannot be found within the club. Our summer of free spending has not worked out and we are short a decent striker and pace at the back. It will be difficult to correct this in January so we are going to need to recruit a quality manager who can organise us into a side hard to break down.

If we were to draw at Palace, I’d have preferred a nil nil result, just to give the back 4/ 5 a bit of confidence. Build on it and slowly get us back to being hard to beat.

As the saying goes, “right people, right place, right time”. For Unsy that’s the under 23s and the sooner the board recognise this and appoint the new manager the better for everyone.
