If the people moaning on here saying sending the survey is bad then I'm guessing you want Allerdyce to stay. If not then surely it's a good thing. You now get to voice your opinion. If Everton said "Ooh better not send it out this year because fans don't want him here" Then you know something has to be done and you shouldn't just send out surveys when times are good. Either abolish the survey for good or it stays a yearly thing. Mind you I think they released it a little too early. The answers back good or bad is a distraction. There's still 12 points left so with a lot of luck going our way we could still make Europe. I really wouldn't hold your breath though.

I don't want Sam at our club and never have done. However, the way we have done this survey lacks class. You don't need a survey to know what we all think.
Instead we are now getting slagged off on radio stations, tv programs amd in every paper.
Your reputation as a club helps bring managers, players and sponsors. We are starting to look amateurish and naive.

All this hysteria about the survey is pointless, stupid idea to do it during the season when the media have nothing else to do but hype it up to try to sell their wares. On the plus side n six months time we will all be wondering what all the fuss was about.

I don't think anyone who has read my previous posts on this site could say I am a supporter of Big Sam - far from it- but this survey isn't the best way to gauge fans opinions of him or even the board.
AS BJU says we lack class with this and the whole running of the club, perception by others (including potential targets) is damaged by it.
If the board need surveys like this to know what fans are thinking then god help us.

Just one other point. Southampton's draw last might means we are mathematically safe from relegation. Burnley are 10 pints ahead of us with 4 games to go so Europe is a pipe dream in my opinion.
It's time for the baord to act now and get rid of Sam and move on a replacement.

There is no need to sack SA now. Especially if we are concerned with how we look as a club. The work to get a new manager can be done in the background which will make us look less desperate and avoid another mess like we had when we appointed SA.

The point I was trying to make Toffee Ace is that the club should already have been working on a replacement for SA. I was hoping that one of the reasons they haven't announced anything was to make sure that we were completely safe.
We are now and the sooner we can announce something the better for the club and its supporters, us. Otherwise you are right, we will be in another mess.

The club may not want to sack a man they gave an 18 month contract to. The club may not be looking for a replacement for SA at all. The survey may show that the majority of the fans think he has done a good job in avoiding relegation so the board may decide to stick with their choice of manager until his contract finishes. SA staying may all depend on season ticket sales for next season, if the club hit their sales targets then why waste money terminating a contract early when supporters are happy to buy their tickets anyway.

As we are supposedly 'The People's Club' I don't see anything wrong with sending out surveys. As it was pointed out one was sent out last year with little to no press attention because we were all happy with Koeman at the time. For me, I think we as paying fans have the right to an opinion. The fact is, Sam Allardyce is not wanted by the majority of fans at this club. I refuse to believe that his 36% win ratio is good enough. I refuse to believe that only he could have kept us up, I think Unsworth or practically anyone could have this season with the poor standard below us in the league. Going a month without a shot on target is woeful by any teams standards. Find a replacement, sack Sam and be done with this season.
