felli will stay till 2016 providing efc don't decide to ask him to go. Capoue will be a neville replacement for the long term . People presume because the media say he is felli's replacment its the gods honest truth. Stop going on about it and giving the kopites something to laugh at.

Believable9

If you think Fellaini will stay to 2016 you really haven't a clue. He's gone in the summer, accept that and move on.
Agree0
Disagree0
What about if somebody activates his release clause?..
Agree0
Disagree0
He would be a good signing to fill Gibbo's boots, as good as Gibson is it is hard to build a consistent team with someone who is missing so many games, just wish he could get over all these injuries because just like Victor he seems to pick up niggling injuries that take weeks to clear up.
Agree0
Disagree0
The original post and first reply are both wrong. It can't be said that fellaini will definately stay or go. He said he is willing to stay untill his contract ends, however that doesn't mean he will definately stay and moyes doesn't want to sell him, however it might be taken out of his hands. He is hot property. There are many different factors so nobody knows when he will go. Have atleast some faith, but also remain realistic.
Agree0
Disagree0
It would make sense for capoue to be fellinai's eventual replacement( whenever he goes) that's why it is guessed. Just like your doing with saying he is nevile's replacement.
Agree0
Disagree0
Capoue is a midfielder, we need more midfielders, that'swhy we might be interested. Whether we can afford him, I haven't a clue.
Felli will leave sometime between now and the end of the millenium. Anything could happen to change things(massive bid, we win Champions League, etc) so people who "know" when he'll leave are wrong, whether they say now, summer or 2016.

He looks a player. Strong as hell. Skilful. Good passer. Can score. Somehow I can't see us signing him if arsenal are in for him. But we can hope. Sometimes we get linked with players to encourage others to sign them !
Agree0
Disagree0
Moyes may have told Bill to bring him in and they'll recoup the money back when Fellaini leaves in the summer. It would make sense to bed a player in before the inevitable departure of Fellaini in the summer.
Agree0

Arsenal were in for mirallas and where did he end up?
Agree0

Arsenal wanted Mirallas remember. Not sure Arsenal really need midfielders! Quite strong with Wiltshire back!

The possible signing of Capoue seems to be exciting everyone to me it's a rubber stamp on Fellaini off to Chelsea ... :( Jonno {Ed025's Note - why would you think that Jonno?..

There is money to spend, the club are playing a bit of a game... I think you will all be very surprised! With a bit of of mortgaging next year's revenue, the club believe there is a great opportunity to progress and gain investment. Watch this space £10 million to be spent!!!
Believable8
Unbelievable11
They have already mortgage a large part of next years tv deal (british virgin isles loan) and any money from the sales was used to pay off 3 other mortgages. {Ed025's Note - you are guessing..
Agree0
Disagree0
There is additional TV money next year!! Also, higher up the league, more tv revenue too, Europe, etc!
Agree0
Disagree0
I've believed all along there was cash. Dave was hardly going to say 'I have £12.27563m and I want Agbonlahor for £3.50, Capoue for £8.5m, and Kevin Gameiro for £3.7m' for example. Who knows, it could be that we're broke, it could be that we've a few pennies to spend. I can see a top notch signing coming in and it's not going to be Agbonlahor.
Agree0
Disagree0
In all seriousness, they might as well spend money as they have assets on the pitch! Moyes is going to walk if we don't progress or make Europe. We could generate £40-£50 million from Baines and Fellaini. Nothing to lose by investing £15 million
Agree0
Disagree0
Cant agree with you there. If it went tits up and we need to sell it becomes a buyers market and we wouldn't get anywhere near the true value for our top players

Hi Fellow Blues:-
To confirm i have just seen with my own eyes 'Andrey Arshavin' in the Tesco on County Road on route to work! I asked the russian himself if he was signing on loan and he kindly replied, yes! He then carried on deciding which sandwich to have for his lunch i presume!
I really hope this hope this comes off as would be a real star at goodison! he looked quality in the euros!

I can't believe anyone has clicked 'Disagree'! The author (whose very name references local geography, it should be noted) saw the Impish Russian funster with his own eyes! Buying a sandwich! IN TESCO!
I happen to know for a fact that Andrey is very partial to the occasional bread-based-snack (no mayo though, it reminds him of "unpleasantness") and this detail alone has convinced me.
Dobro pozhalovatʹ v Mersisayd, Andrey!

Just a quick post about the rumours regarding Lescotts return. Honestly...would we want a player like that back at our club? do people not remember the Arsenal game?
Personally he's in the same catagory as Barmby, Speed and Rooney for me and i would never have him back.
No player is bigger than the club
Rossaldinho {Ed025's Note - good player though Ross..if he can help us out, I for 1 won't be complaining..
Believable5

Arsenal game his head was on the move to city, great player! his and jags partnership was one, if not the best in the prem
Agree0
Disagree0
But unfair to include Speed in that list, isn't it?
Agree0
Disagree0
I agree with everything you say except don't put Gary speed in the list we all know why he left and he refused to go public so not to tarnish the club
Agree0
Disagree0
I'd take him back and Rooney to if we had the option, look at our defensive record and then think of the partnership he had with jags, only gonna improve us!
Agree0
Disagree0
Is Pienaar on your list too? Only the players and club officials know the real reasons re. Departures ... Which means Gary Speed should be respected as he is unable to defend himself.
Agree0
Disagree0
If a player improves our squad get him in. don't cut your nose off to spite your face
Agree0

I don't know why Speed left - please tell us

17 Jan 2013 21:16:31
Anybody who would blame Lescott for joining City (already has a Prem winners medal etc) and then not take him back needs a word with themselves.
Agree0
Disagree0
Fair points made. But I stand my ground over including Speed. i'm sure I wasnt the only fan who booed him and sang rubbishhouse in the stands when he left. It is sad he is no longer with us but he would have been on that list if he was alive so i'm not going to be a hypocrite.
Rossaldinho {Ed013's Note - Football is a unique world where one minute you love a player, but the next a career move can make you hate them. When a player dies for whatever reason, most fans come together and share the players best moments and celebrate their lives}

Latest Rumour Is Everton Are Trying To Get M Villa On Loan With View To Buy In Summer For £10 Million Source Mail Online.
Believable10
Unbelievable4
Would be an unbelievable signing, and one which would be perfect for our team. I truly think we are missing a defensive mid to shield the back 4. Not too long ago he was being linked with 20mil moves to clubs like Arsenal etc, if Moyes can sort him out and get his focus back on football (been having off field problems at Rennes, but I think a move to the Prem League would sort that out), then we would have one of the best defensive mids in the world.
Finger crossed for this deal, especially on loan, would show a statement of our intent for the rest of the season, but can't see it happening

I hate to say this as a true blue but I believe Brenda will be an unbelievable manager for Liverpool over time. that's based on his coaching ability and not his personality. That was the same reason that my head hung low when I heard of his appointment at the noisy neighbours lol. I thought they'd bring in another looser.
But I'm more interested in what we have, Moyes and a twice as good starting 11 atm.
a couple of signings and our injuries back and for the first time in years i'll look at our bench on game day and think we truly belong in the top quartet of teams in the PL.

LFC went for a mid table manager now they have a mid table team as far as his eye for talent goes 15 mill for Allen and 12 mill for Borini ye he is going to be one of the best managers in the league some day haha Stef the blue
Agree0
Disagree0
Not sure what coaching ability that is cause all i see is a manager who only has one game plan and that's pass pass pass. You could see the danger of that at swansea. If he was incharge in the last match he woulda played pass pass passzzzzz but we woulda smashed em, it was only cause swansea changed and played defensive that they got a point. Personally i think he is massively overrated. Was only good at swansea and martinez deserves the credit for that and laudrups better. I'd be very surprised if he is still there in 5 years. The funny thing about liverpool is the best man for that job is david moyes! And they hate him
