Everton are looking into Matt Jarvis but realistically won't happen and also have heard that Niang will not become an Everton player. Bit of sad news but I am really optimistic for the new season

Well if niang was watchin tonight im sure its made him think twice. Depebds if he wants to work that hard. Might of scared him off lol

Why would niang lower his standard and want to go to milan?

Let's be honest, if the choice is AC Milan or Everton. Every player will pick AC.

Moyes is looking at Jarvis bu unlikely as too expensive , he was at Molyneux his evening checking out centre back Christophe Berra, cover for Heitinga who will be sold to Fenerbahche
Agree0
Disagree1
Why oh why would a manager go and watch someone they have no intention of buying i e Jarvis! He has his biggest priority with Pienaar who he's bought to play left. And as for Berra, he couldn't trap a bag of cement. So stop talking crap... As for Fenerbache and Johnny H... They've already said they don't want him and a friend at Everton told me they would never do business with them again full stop

Heard that Liverpool have said that they don't want Dempsey. Meaning that Dempsey's agent is in talks with Everton for a move to us.

Fellini to start behind jelavic. Neville in cm and Naismith on bench.

If neville is starting at cm then i think w may need a player like dempsey

We might need him as backup as we push for the title... We've just dispatched one of our closest rivals tonight.

They want more than we are offering, it's far from done. Apparently he impressed everyone while at finch farm.

I heard EFC and spurs offered what Caen want re: fee 6M. Had trial with us and having one at spurs this week then the player himself will decide where to go. Jack Carter

He is off to Milan, only here if Mirallas didnt sign

Owen has been joining Everton all summer. The deal was made weeks ago but he was told to wait until the end of the transfer window. He is on pay as you play for 1 season with option of further year if he is successful on better terms. Stoke have been trying to derail it by pushing the wages up but Owen has made his feelings clear. he will be introcued tonight along with Mirallas before kick off so it will get the crowd going
Believable7
Unbelievable33
The reason Everton asked to wait was because of the pay as you play deal. He has been training at finch farm all summer. Everton medical staff have assessed him. certain rumours on twitter regarding this is all feather talk. Ie guessing.

saying on twitter now is that owen prefers a move to us but he is finding it hard to turn down stoke's better offer. now this is a perfect time to see if he actually would like to come cos its his boyhood club or if he goes to stoke for the money

The stuff in French on twitter is from the French Ligue One where Niang's club Caen plays. It just says Everton are after him, sorry mate. Other tweets in English reckon he's ours, though. Hope so

How can you not want owen ?? a good backup for jelavic and hes free !? he has still got class in him.

Like Ed I don't hate him, I just think the guy's heart has gone (which is even more of a problem than his fitness) and he's just looking for someone to pay for his stables.

Why is everyone so against this, surely he would be a better option than big Vic to come of the bench if chasing a game, pay as u play deal then happy days

Great to hear Pienaar's comments of us being ready and hopeful to push for Top 4 again! There's belief in the team and the fans, with a great Summer so far, we need to continue where we left off. I have a very good feeling about this season!

There in no way we will finish in the top 4 dude. City, united, chelsea, arsenal all have to much. Our squad is paper thin and if we get injuries to jelavic, fellaini, baines or pienaar we will be screwed. On a positive note i think iverpool and spurs will struggle if they have a few more good results like saturday lol

I agree with the op, think we'll have a good season, top 4 a real possibility, I think arsenal are on the way down and we're right in with a shout of top 4. Don't think newcastle will have such a a good season, likewise for spurs. We'll be fighting it out with these 3 clubs for 4th place...hopefully. The RS don't even come in to the equation for me
Agree1
Disagree1
If we do get off to a good start, this could be the season to do it..the wheel is falling off Arsenal, Spuds and skunks are flash in the pan... Not to mention the crap served up by the RS...yes why not? {Ed025's Note - why not indeed..
Agree1
Disagree0
Hang on a minute, I agree. We are more than capable of a top 4 finish. We have a better squad than the last time we finished in the top 4. Why be so negative before the season has started? Arsenal are not unbeatable, same with spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool. Why expect injuries to key players? What if they don't get injured? What if we make a couple more signings? COYB

Sitea {Ed025's Note - yes he is mate..

Hes a defensive midfielder. I think we may have enough of those right now.
Agree1
Disagree1
Love to get him but I reckon he is probably valued at 7/8 million having just made his International debut pre Euro Championships.
Agree0
Disagree0
Very unlikely if we are seriously trying to secure Niang, that we would spend another 2Mn on a holding midfielder. Only way this makes sense is if DM is worried he will need to use Fellaini further forward throughout the year.
Agree0
Disagree0
I don't think we're overloaded, particularly if we stick with 4-5-1/4-4-1-1. If Johnny and Captain Phil are kept in their correct positions we only have Gibson, Junior and Fellaini, and he was playing further up the pitch at the end of last season. I've not seen enough of the lad to offer an opinion on his ability, but £2m is not a bad price for a 25 year old and (a few notable exceptions aside) Moysie doesn't tend to disappoint.
Agree0
Disagree0
Enough defensive midfielders? That would explain why Neville gets a game there then. Fellaini is better in a more advanced role where he can dictate the play leaving us with Gibson as our only real defensive midfielder

Apparently Owen rumour is back with football agent on twitter and also daily mail saying he is in advanced talks with us and due at finch farm tomorrow. Yet again i will state that i don't believe this but stranger things have happened. I think moyes expects to play mirallas on the wing i think so there is room for another striker for cover. It's exciting being an Evertonian at the moment
