R u saying we don't need a centre half or just Ashley Williams your not keen on.
I'd say we need a couple bearing in mind we've lost alcatrash & distin & if stones goes to a champs league club that leaves us with jags & Galloway.
I've heard scot dann linked but £15 mill get real he's average @ best.

1.Stones won't leave. 2. We still have Browning to add to the list. 3. Williams is 30 and despite being typically 'solid' he still makes a lot of mistakes for such an experienced player. 4. He looks like Glen Johnson. 5. I agree we need a centre back.

We def need centre back. Agree Williams not the answer although a good player. There's better value on the continent and with our budget, every penny counts.

Lads I think we will only sign 1 centre back with Galloway and Browning being are 4 choice centre backs as for who we will sign Dann is ok but not worth anywhere near 15 mil and Williams good ball playing centre back but getting on a bit at 30 plus Swansea would want stupid money for him the lad from juve agbonna would be good but we would have to pay about 11 mil my personal favourite would be van dijk he is young has bags of potential and would cost between 8-10 mil

I would love to see van dijk and of the names I have seen touted about he is the only left footed centre back. I could be wrong though

{Ed025's Note - im a fan as well ST..

@mossley hill al, Wes Morgan is 31 and is like a cart horse.
£15m for Scott Dann is the most absurd thing I've ever heard. If he was offered to us for £4m I'd try and barter it down. Williams is decent but also hugely overrated. As someone else said, he's old and prone to mistakes. Virgil Van Dyke is very impressive on the ball but I still question his defensive stability, and that's while playing in Scotland. He's the kind of player Liverpool sign, with no thorough scouting, not us.
