Well it's quite obvious that the everton fc board are waiting to see what happens with Jose Mourinho, how Koeman's discussions go with Southampton and maybe Rafa's as well with Newcastle. in the likelihood of Jose joining Man United and Koeman staying on at Southampton, I believe we will appoint Frank De Boer as gaffer and give him a 3 year contract. telling him in that time to achieve and win something and if not onto the next one!

we are not waiting for anything regarding Benitez Soli. he is waiting for us, going to be a long wait rafa!

Rafa is definitely waiting for the call to come here and as for Koeman yes he has been excellent at Southampton but even there fans are fed up now as they know he wants a big European move and will do every summer.

. has Koeman actually ever won anything of substance? I was looking at his managerial record and didn't find any trophies of note. another Davey Moyes maybe.

I agree Soli, Koeman has not done anything really to warrant any excitement, Jose throws the towel in after 2-3 years, as for Rafa. well that speaks for itself and pellegrini can't motivate!

The Everton board are not waiting about Mourinho, they are progressing at their own speed, thankfully this decision now involves more than good old Bill and as it is a very important one, they need to take their time.

Jeeeez Soli and longyefc the way you 2 are talking there will be no manager left for us. Not saying this is going to happen but I'd take Jose or Koeman in a heart beat. Don't think there is many clubs in the world who wouldn't want them as manager.

Rafa no thank you. Pell wouldn't be overjoyed as defense doesn't seem to be his forte. But we could do a lot worse. I'd be happy with 3 out of them 4. Just out of curiosity who would you's like to see coming in?

Don't know who we will get, just hope Bill is on his holidays, when it's time to pick our new man.

Not sure Nb, my concern regarding koeman an Jose is they will have the Rom factor in that they will be touting themselves for bigger jobs as soon as they arrive. Never really thought about him for the role but has hiddink found a new club?

{Ed025's Note - he is expected to retire longy..

Cheers Ed.

I share your concern to a far less degree. Imho you can't be appointing a manager thinking its not going to work out. If either came I would hope they would be successful and therefore not want to leave.

Alot seem to want someone who is capable of wining something within a couple of years. Who better than Mourinho to do that. Please no one start saying we have no chance of Mourinho. Just speculating here. No one will know exactly who our manager is going to be until it is announced. So there is plenty more speculation to come from plenty of different people.

I'd prefer Koeman but happy with both. Who knows FDB could be better than both of them. Don't care who it is if he does a good job. Hell if Mike Walker came back and done a good job I'd be happy.
