With a World Cup coming up, I think it would be better to have a new manager either in place or lined up so that he can start identifying targets. City did it with Pep. It might undermine the latest manager but let's face it, no one seems to be playing for him now anyway.
We need every advantage we can get and if we have to wait til mid June to decide, we will have no time to identify targets that the actual manager wants and he will be at a disadvantage. Then the pressure mounts again, the fans get frustrated and the new manager is not given a fair shot.

Couldn’t agree more, I was saying this to my in laws last night. Signing people in World Cup summer is harder plus the new manager won’t get to meet up with his squad until they all arrive back which is often later than usual.

This is a bad summer to be getting an overhaul done. Needs must and some patience will be required.

It's going to be hectic to say the least. We can only hope the powers that be have their sensible heads on and they get things done in a manner befitting a club like Everton instead of something resembling a Catty-On film.
