Have it from a very reliable source that we are in for a big name player and it was confirmed to me that this was Christian Benteke.

I was told that he is extremely interested in joining us as is keen to link up with fellow country men, kev and felli.

I have been informed that the fee will be in the region of 15mil along with big Vic going the other way!

Looks like a new number 9 is just around the corner.

I have just had some exciting new from my uncle, my uncle works for TAP air at Manchester airport. Part of his job is to print passenger lists to check who has checked in online for their flights.

Now it could of course be somebody else with the same name, but he is telling me that there is a V�tor Lopes Pereira on the a flight from Lisbon that gets to Manchester at 10. 30am tomorrow morning.

Ok all, I confess the new over seas manager to be announced this week is ME!

I attended an interview yesterday in London with BK and this is how it went.

On arrival I found that I wasn't the only one being interviewed, outside Neville and Stubbs were fighting over who got to sit in DM old seat and they compromised with Stubbs changing his name to David and Neville dying his hair ginger!

the interview itself was quite open.

BK. So you've applied for the managers job.
ME. no you head hunted me from my under 9s side on Sunday morning.

BK. Ahh yes, I remember, we were giving the job to Neville because he has a 'folder' but you're much cheaper.

ME. I thought that there were a number of high profile candidates in line for the job.

BK. That's all smoke and daggers, jus like all our takeover rumours, which of course from time to time you'll publicly support even though they're made up.

ME. But I expected Peirer or Martinez to get the job

BK. Are you kidding, we'd have to actually pay them and with DM off the payroll we can finally sell Fellaini and Baines and pocket all the extra cash.

Me. So will I get any transfer money.

Bk. Yes and No, but mostly no, we'll say that there's money there for players and we'll put in plenty of bids, but we'll make sure the bids are no where near valuation, and if by some miricle they're accepted we'll come up with an excuse to pull out of the deal, just like in January with Leroy Fer, my god that was a close one, we nearly actually bought him.

Me. So i'l have no money at all.

BK. There is a small kitty that will allow you to buy new biscuits every week for your office, but not the expensive chocolate ones, we can only afford the plain ones.

Me. What about targets and your ambition for the club.

BK. My ambition is to make as much Money from the club, oh sorry your meant in footballing terms, eh try not to get us relegated, after all you have more experience than Neville. But make us money.

Bk. So you are aware of the tradition we've set up here over the last few years.

ME. yes playing attacking hard working football.

BK. No that's not what I mean, I mean bottling it at the last minute and being able to claim the moral high ground because I've taken all the clubs money and pissed it on stage shows.

BK. Ok the jobs yours, your the cheapest on the market and believe me I've checked and double checked everywhere.

I would take stubbs despite his lack of experience, and I am still really confident on Rooney, and Stubbs and Rooney are good mates, you notice every time Rooney does anything wrong, Stubbs is always jumping to his defence. So I think if stubbs gets the job Rooney will come with him.

No surprises, widely reported but the Fer deal is uncertain because Everton want to re-structure the fee because of concerns over Fer's knee.

However, I understand that Everton are confident the deal will go through. Everton need confirmation tonight because if the deal collapses, Moyes has another target - Dutch or French midfielder.

But as I said: Everton are confident.

Moyes also chasing Squillaci on loan from Arsenal and has made an enquiry for Bramble. These moves are secondary to getting a midfielder.

Sadly, the reason we can pay this for Fer is that a player is to be sold. A London club, Arsenal or Chelsea, have discussed a £15 million bid for Felliani - £12 million payable over 12 months and the rest in clauses.

No formal bid has been made and Moyes would prefer another player is sold but he needs the money to secure Fer
