Never really expected anything from today. Our record against City is terrible. No Grealish absolutely kills us. We lose all of our composure on the ball or ability to change the pace of the game, the width and balance disappear because Charlie wants to naturally drift inside. It is not his fault, he just isn't a wide player.
The strikers we all know about already.
I think both those goals were avoidable though and our defence should be questioned, especially since they get their praise when they play well.
Same sh**e has been happening time and time again, Michael Keane has been involved for years but I noticed that Tarkowski suffers the same terrible decision to ball watch.
I will never understand why when the opposition flanker has the ball and is driving down the line, our entire backline just ball watch staying in line with the full back and continue running towards the goal until they are right in Pickfords way and on his goal line.
Haaland didn't even have to be clever or creative to find space, he literally just slowed down and had a tap in. Why isn't at least one of the CB's staying tight, the other one defends the cut back and the marks the space. It is not like the old days where they have 2 strikers to worry about and move off them.
It was very much rinse and repeat for their second as well.
If that penalty decision was down the other end, they get it. Not that it would have mattered.
On to the next one.

Moyes has said Keane should of stuck to Haarland for 1st goal but he kept running goalwards because of watching what winger was doing and not where haarland was. Was a really good 1st half performance and Ndiaye was up for it today. Loved it in 1st half when he was breaking from our half and had 3 to 4 man city players trying to tackle fresh air as he turned them inside out. But games over and spurs next. Jack's back and back to a more consistent team next week.

Did he actually Dentie? Well I guess that is a start because no one has ever told them afterwards before. Happened so many times over the years, it is criminal.
Moyes sets his teams up well which is why we always have chances to pick up wins but this team is still weak in vital areas. We have very very limited full backs, that offer nothing in transition. They leave our wingers isolated and never get ahead of them to offer an out ball. Our centre halves work very hard but they aren't good with the ball. JB coming back will be great for us. Then our strikers are just another story.
Ndiaye is a top quality player mate. I have said it for a while, he could play for any team in the league and improve them imo. His work rate and desire is phenomenal and his ability with the ball and to keep it is as good as any wide player. His level would only go up with better players around him as well.
Get as many points as we can before Jan and then try and get a forward with some ability in and a RB. Moyes teams usually finish well in the league. Get to the summer in a fair position in the table so that we can attract better talent and go again.
As many have said, we won't fix the side in one window.

Agree fully mate. A striker is a must in january.
