Just for fun. Favourite 11 and 7 subs. Since you started supporting the Toffees.
I started supporting in mid - late 80's so my memory of that great team are hazy, however 2 or 3 stood out to me as a kid.
Choose own formation. Mine will be 4231
Southall
Coleman
Watson
Jags
Baines
Arteta
Barry
Kanchelskis
Cahill
Sheedy
Lineker
Subs
Martyn/ Pickford
Distin
P. Neville
Parkinson
Limpar
Beardsley
Lukaku.

Replace Lineka for Latchford, and Barry replaced by Reid. And I’d have to find a way of putting Trevor Steven in there too. I just can’t imagine an Everton best 11 without those in there.
But that side you’ve got there BB is mouthwatering.

Reckon if I was 5 years older Reid, Bracewell could easily be in there. I can't leave out Kanchelskis for Trevor though sorry ha ha.

Where’s Inchy.

Ratcliffe for Watson, the guy was a Rolls Royce. Reid for Barry, Steven for Kanchelskis and Latchford for Linekar.

I’d have Weir in that lineup somewhere Bunkbeds.
Also thought Ball was a cracking LB so would have him on the bench. Not many who could dislodge Baines and Coleman since the 90s.

This gets harder the older you are, I mean there’s Harvey, Kendall, Ball, Royle, Whittle, Lyons, Darracot, to throw into the mix.
Then if you consider some of the players we’ve had admittedly some were past their prime but if we’d had them at their peak there’s Gascoigne, Ginola, E’to, Collins, and then those that didn’t stay long enough and went onto be great after they left such as Matterazi, Dacourt, and many more
It’s too difficult to even go there.

Southall

OK, maybe not the best individually, but what a team.

Some of you won't have seen him but Alex Young (the golden vision) was quite possibly the greatest footballer to wear the blue shirt that I have ever seen.
