Branthwaite out for up to 6 weeks with another hamstring issue - injury special-ists have suggested it could trigger again for longer. Feel awful for him and us for us. Big thing though is that we either need a new cb or need to push O'brien in and actually get a good rb in as we can't really allow him to carry on rb ad it means keane will be starting.

We have 4 CBs. Obviously didn't recover correctly from previous. It's one of those things at his age. As said. We NEED a proper good RB and ideally 2.

If we need two why keep Coleman - I think one with Coleman / OBrien as back up. Need shot of Patterson - he’s championship level though so can’t see getting much for him.

That deal for Coleman is very odd. He isn't really an option and I think he will be a last ditched sub. He has handful of minutes over the last 18 months and he's 109 years old and a full 90 would probably kill him. He must be on some insignificant wage. I'm puzzled why we didn't give him a coaching role, I guess he wanted 1 more year and so as good faith we gave him 1 but if he plays more than 1000 minutes this season I'd be stunned. He's basically a chocolate teapot.
{Ed025's Note - i think he is gearing up to be a coach FBS but not sure he has got his badges yet mate, he is probably been kept on as an emergency player to keep him at the club i expect..

Hasn’t Dixon been moved on? Need to sort this right back issue out it’s been dragging on for a few seasons now.

I should have listened to my own advice and did a Google before making myself look a mug. He was set for a loan to buy to Stockport L1 a month or so back but not sure why it didn't happen however they're still interested. Either way, he's a long way from the answer this season.

Yes that makes sense Ed. Probably a very cheap work around to keep him happy and he will be in the classroom this season then.
